    2024-25 PWHL season

Ha, yea that’s just cause knighter is sort of old though and Decker retired too early due to bad luck. I know the fellow she mentors under at Shattuck is a dear role model for Decker but her skill set surely suits an assistant role in the Pw or at least a true head coach role for a top high...

Brianna Decker seems like a pretty strong candidate for a pw asst coach role, if she’s interested

Seattle hired Steve O’Rourke to coach their team. Thoughts. Well you know me, of course I like to see deserving women or guys who have invested in women’s hockey get the jobs and this guy is not that. People say he’s a good guy. So that’s that. He has a junior hockey background and that may...

    2025-26 Penn State Nittany Lions

I thought that was a pretty great video to mark the day the coaches can call recruits. 1- they hammered their message that they’ve been 3x league champs (crying emoji here) 2- the freebird music was imo a subtle reminder that the right player can thrive in the AHA and on Team USA. Edit: oh...

Makes you wonder what the pw jobs pay that college coaches are leaving. Lols like player salary info will be public soon, based on a vote by the players.

Ok so Knight will stay in Boston, I get it, haha. Was listening to her on the Good Game with Sarah Spain podcast and it sure sounds like that’s where she wants to be and badly wants to win a championship there in this iteration of pro league. Great lists, appreciate your thoughts! I do wonder...

    2024-25 PWHL season

Anyone think Hilary Knight will go to seattle? Is she even eligible? I assume she’s under contract one more year so can’t remember if she’s eligible or not. I would see Knight to Seattle a bit like Gretzky to LA, as far as building the sport. Truthfully and respectfully , there are better and...

it just is what it is. Didn’t surprise me, but not used to watching a game like that. Experienced it once watching Islanders at Senators back in the day, a couple years removed from Yashin’s holdout and folks were still booing. I imagine as play is happening the players are so focused they...

1-1 going to OT, great game over all. Curl scored to tie it with 15 seconds left. Bit of a wrestling vibe with her being the league heel. Oh my god they are interviewing her amongst boos…… extreme WWE vibes. Oh well, carry on.

Minnesotas looking rough but Ottawa can’t score. Scoreless halfway through this game, the crowd is into it, lots of energy. On YouTube in the US, now

    2024-25 PWHL season

Appreciate the commentary! I’ve read a bit about high ticket prices for playoffs. hope the league can find the sweet spot for where they want to be. Some of the women’s sports boom is driven by the value of the experience relative to the cost . In general it’s somewhat Aligned or even...

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2024-2025

I don’t think it’s fair Poulin is singled out in this. What has Poulin ever done to suggest she has a problem with Curl? Nothing I’m aware of. I think a lot of assumptions are being made about what other players in the league think of Curl. I don’t get the sense the players in general have a...

    Minnesota Gophers 2024-25

It’s her 5th year at Minn plus she did a year with Team USA. So going into her sixth year of post high school hockey, quantitatively her penalty minutes may be down. Judging by her five minute major in the NCAA Tournament, qualitatively they are as dumb as ever, possibly getting dumber.

    Minnesota Gophers 2024-25

as for 18 being back imo the very best thing that could happen for her is a year of tough love from the coaches. She’s one of the best players in the world AND she’s entertaining in non hockey ways which makes her pretty marketable post college. She should be a better teammate, period. Dumb...

It’s true Steamboat! My little town is going through this as we debate building new schools and athletic facilities. my kids play travel softball and baseball and you go to various communities and see the facilities and it really gives you something to think about.

    Minnesota Gophers 2024-25

I get the sense OSU will continue to pay their coaches well and wave around NIL money because it’s cheaper than building a rink. That will absolutely be the fade away of the program. Always needs to be said. By fade away I mean probably still top ten as long as Muzerall is willing to work...

    Minnesota Gophers 2024-25

I hadn’t considered that college kids also get back into their training environment in August vs late October(?) for PW, which favors returning to college. J&J or Salvian pointed that out.

I am thrilled for BC to get a team. I can’t even believe this is real life, that women's hockey has finally joined the pro women’s sports party. kudos to the ones who grinded for decades to get this to happen, and the people who have embraced attending women’s sports to keep it moving forward...
