The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA (just northwest of Worcester) will be adding men's and women's ice hockey for the 2018-19 season. Apparently they'll play their games way off-campus at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, replacing Becker who just moved their games to the new Worcester...

Apparently Wilkes will be forced to push back the launch of their women's program to next year, coinciding with the men's team. Seems they'll be looking for a new coach as well. I wonder what will happen to the girls...
Not sure if this belongs here, but seeing as most of us play exhibition games against these guys every year I figured I might as well post it. Apparently this past fall, Canadian Interuniversity Sport, basically the Canadian NCAA, rebranded as U SPORTS (all caps apparently). Kind of stupid in my...
The ACHA has partnered with ESPN to broadcast a "Game of the Week" on ESPN's online streaming service WatchESPN this season. Broadcasts are pretty high quality. The first three match-ups have been announced, with future games to be announced in the future. Future games will be chosen based on...
Saw this thread on another forum and enjoyed it, so I thought I'd start one here. Just a place to keep track of and discuss games against non-NCAA opponents (CIS, ACHA, etc.). I don't think you can always read too much into these exhibition games, but its always fun I think to see how our NCAA...
Suffolk adding DIII Women's team starting in 2018-19. It's still two years out, so no conference affiliation named yet. According to the school's athletics website, the other five sports being added are Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field and Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field.
Now that our non-conference schedule has been released, I thought I'd get next year's thread up and running.
Our non-conference schedule can be seen here.
In addition we have the previously announced game against Wisco at Madison Square Garden on January, 28.
The list of the seven newcomers...
The ACHA will hold the national tournament for all five of its divisions (Men's DI, DII and DIII and Women's DI and DII) in Columbus, OH for both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. According to their Facebook page, Ohio State's club team (ACHA DII) will receive an automatic bid to the DII...
Will Golden, a young kid from my hometown of Cohasset, MA and a freshman forward on the Skidmore hockey team, was killed in an accident at the University of Delaware over the weekend. I didn't know him; apparently he entered high school the year after I graduated. Will was a two sport athlete at...
The Bruin's new practice facility in Allston-Brighton is nearing completion. The arena will be called Warrior Ice Arena. I read an article a few months ago in the Globe in which the developer says he envisions DIII college hockey being played there. So I'm wondering if anyone has heard any...
I posted this on another hockey Forum and didn't get any response. Thought I might have more luck here.
Over the last year and a half or so, two schools, Post University and Western Connecticut State University both announced they would be starting varsity men's (and women's in Post's case)...
