The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I do know one of the Sioux fan posters has passed. MNS (or MinnesotaNorthStar). He passed a while ago. IIRC, he was air traffic control somewhere and died of a heart attack. Really nice guy, was sad for those of us that had met him.
Are we watching the same game? Hauser has played very, very well and made several HUGE saves.
Additionally, none of the 3 goals are remotely on him. All on turnovers and bad D play.
Hauser has looked really good so far. Brutal tip on the first goal, played it perfect and then it pops up over him. Second one D has to cut off the pass. Come on D, get it together.
I havent seen the ducking, but Ill keep an eye out. If by ducking you are referring to him going down in the butterfly, yeah, he tends to do that a lot, but that is more of a comment on the way the position is coached than Hauser necessarily. For college and pro level goalies they tend to love...
Not sure how much Ill post, but someone texted me and asked if I thought the one goal Hauser gave up was soft and I do not, so figured id pop in and read and maybe post. As I said above, I coach youth goalies and my 13 year old kid is a goalie, which is why I went down this path in the first...
So here is my perspective (and that perspective is that of someone who coaches youth goalies and has been trained with other goalie coaches by the people at USA hockey that have brought us people like Jake Oettinger and Connor Hellebuyck and there is a whole army of kids coming behind those guys...
Gorgeous tip by Tassy. I will say this Dartmouth goalie is good. Moves well, great positioning has made some huge saves. Montreal drafted him in the 6th round, that looks like that might be a really nice pick.
Yeah, not good. They were trying to talk about how that interference call on Dartmouth in the second period should have been let go. Guys, that was a textbook interference. Puck was 15 feet away and you lay a hard, high hit on a guy. If they had a video in the rule book to show a penalty, that...
That couldn't be more wrong. Turnover leads to an oddman rush, Dartmouth moves the puck well on it and shooter puts the puck on the back weakside post and it goes in when the goalie is moving down the y in the opposite direction because of the puck movement. That is a much tougher save than most...
