The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I believe Gophers have until 4/11 to enter the portal because of the coaching change.
The press release announcing May as the new HC was 3/22 and the 5 day buffer takes the start of Minnesota's HC change transfer window to 3/27. 15 days from 3/27 would be 4/11.
Plattsburgh will hopefully be back but I was answering a question about who from the East region could be considered among the favorites for 2026-27.
As much as it breaks my heart to say I don't think they could be considered a favorite as opposed to a contender. They're losing two important...
Norwich is returning a lot of talent, they just need to figure out their goaltending.
Middlebury had a great first year class and there's rumors their recruiting class for this fall is even stronger. There's the question of who will coach the team, whether Mandigo puts off retirement or...
April 6th for the majority. Grad Transfers can still enter at any time. If there are any more head coaching changes, students at the affected schools get a 15-day window starting five days after a new head coach is hired or announced (or, to my understanding, 30 days after the 2025-26 coach...
Congrats to Wisconsin-River Falls on their third straight national championship! They've reached rarified air, and there's only one program they have left to chase down in terms of consecutive championships for a DIII women's program.
Also congrats to Megan Goodreau, who, with her assist in the...
Maeve Reynolds breaks the shutout for O'Kane with a power play goal, but it was too late to affect the outcome. We have a 3-1 final. The University of Wisconsin - River Falls Falcons will defend their two consecutive championships at home on Sunday as they will face Nazareth.
3-0 UWRF after 2. The Falcons went up 1-0 on a power play goal from Alexa Niccum in the 1st. They added two more in the second frame, a power play goal from Goodreau and a breakaway from Madison Kadrlik where Stott had the pad save on the initial breakaway shot; the puck rebounded right to...
After being down 3-0 after the first, Nazareth ties it at 4 after three forwards crash the net together. 6 minutes left in the third. Golden Flyers have all the momentum.
4-3 Norwich with 10:30 left in the 3rd. Play stopped as after a player crashed into the boards, one of the NCAA board banners came loose, and became an on-ice obstruction.
The buzzing/static noise that was the audio when the stream came up sounded like a cable issue, which might have broken or come loose. Maybe someone stepped on or knocked into something without realizing.
Norwich scores 2 goals within about 16 seconds, 5 minutes into the first.
The audio was fixed around 7 minutes in and we can hear the announcers. Hopefully, they can keep the config intact for the rest of the weekend.
Looks like some technical difficulties for the commentators to start semi #1 between Nazareth and Norwich. The NCAA did put some effort as the opening graphics said Kelly Jo Freichel, one of the most accomplished female announcers in hockey, is on the call. It's a shame something has happened
Lily Mortenson makes much more sense for that spot given she actually plays for a western school.
And I promise I wasn't hallucinating, I have the screenshot
All-American Teams are out, but I'm guessing there will be a revision given that Katie Mahoney of Cortland was somehow named both Second Team East and Second Team West
First Team East

Megan Goodreau has won the 2026 Laura Hurd Award, the third Falcon in a row. River Falls now has 5 Laura Hurd winners, emerging from the tie at 4 they joined last year.
Haven't seen the full All American list but River Falls has 4 of 6 West First Team selections.
It's the end of the head coach's first season at the helm, one can't be surprised they want to make room for players that fit within their system.
It absolutely sucks for the girls though
