The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
There isn’t much to say, in my opinion.
We played a good game tonight, but not a great game. Their fifth goal was an ENG and their fourth goal, an unassisted one, was just a gift from us. Otherwise we played them even up.
As for the weekend as a whole, they swept at home, and we got a split...
Reid Dyck led Colgate out onto the ice for tonight’s pre-game warmup. Andrew Takacs is also dressed. Shane Souderwall is in net for Clarkson.
ColSkate65, yes the Clarkson pep band is in attendance tonight.

Halfway through, Colgate penalty (tripping).
Both...
Tonight was a good win for Colgate.
We did what we had to do.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
When it was 4-2 near the end of the game and Saint Lawrence pulled their goalie for an extra attacker, they easily could have made it 4-3. But Reid Dyck again came through. More than once.
Saint...

Well, tonight’s game mirrored Wednesday’s game…
Michigan State came out strong out of the gate and built up a solid SOG advantage and corresponding goal advantage. We then came back really well on SOG, before Michigan State ultimately outperformed us in both departments.
Neither game was a...
Reid Dyck led Colgate out onto the ice today. Trey Augustine did the same for Michigan State.
Michigan State penalty (boarding). Killed.
Halfway through the period, getting chippy.
Jacob Napier just took a nasty hit.
6:03 remaining in period similar to last night… MSU 10, Colgate 4 SOG...
First, I had a hard time getting a single ticket for tonight’s game and Friday’s game (and that was calling less than 24 hours after they went on sale). Consequently, my seat tonight was down by the glass, in one corner, which I hated. I guess my depth perception isn’t great.
Second, we knew...
Reid Dyck led Colgate out onto the ice tonight here at Munn Arena in East Lansing, Mich. Andrew Takacs is also dressed.
Melvin Strahl in goal for Michigan State.
#11 scored for MSU five minutes in, from the blue line.
Seconds later, MSU scored again.
And minutes later, MSU scores again...
Just arrived at my hotel in East Lansing, Mich.
Currently, the USCHO Poll order is…
#1, Michigan,
#2, Wisconsin,
#3, Michigan State.
no votes received, Colgate.
After last night, the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI) order is…
#13, Michigan State, 9-3-0,
#43, Colgate, 5-7-2.
If there was ever a game where both combatants deserved a draw, me thinks tonight’s contest was it. Shots on goal were close (36-34 Union). Penalties were close (5-3 Union). Both teams had opportunities where the net appeared to be wide open and they just couldn’t put it home.
On to East Lansing…
Reid Dyck led Colgate out onto the ice for tonight’s pre-game warmup. Andrew Takacs and Nick Haas are also in gear. Cameron Korpi did the same for Union.
Miscue by Union defenseman results in goal by Easton Wainwright. Unassisted.
Great team effort by Colgate 23 seconds later resulted in a...
Rainman is right. From Wiki…
The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) is the top division in German ice hockey . At its founding in 1994, it was the first German professional league whose operations were run by an operating company and whose clubs outsourced their professional teams to limited...
Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours with R. Braden Houston and his wife Judith (also known as "Chipper"). Even though he coached Colgate golf, men's hockey and women's hockey, we spent most of the visit talking about his years with the Toronto Marlies and University of New Hampshire, and his...
Better late than never…

Apparently Simon LaBelle scored two 5-on-3 PPGs.
Reid Dyck in goal for Colgate and Tyler Shea in goal for Brown.

Rainman,
Robby Newton got two-minutes for holding and then another two-minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct, thus the four minutes of being short-handed. Fortunately Daniel Panetta took advantage of the situation and scored a shortie.
