The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Nice October schedule posted if accurate. Boston Univ and Maine will be four tough away games, should give us an idea where we stand. Wondering why of twelve or more recruits only seven are actually coming, anyone know more ? We lost a highly touted goalie but gained another one in six four...
Going forward I have a very good feeling about this years team. Recruits look talented with some nice size sprinkled in. You can't teach "size". Hopefully some added physicality will promote a "Harder" style of hockey. The schedule doesn't do us any favors early on with most of Oct. on the road...
No fancy title, just ECAC tournament champions. We lost some very key players, goaltending and defense are strong but I'm not sure where the scoring will come from. Carry on !
Season nearly upon us. We have nineteen players returning from last years .500 team. Lot's of optimism stemming from the teams 8-2 finish to the regular season, plus defeating Cornell in Ithaca in the quarterfinals of the ECAC tourney making it to Lake Placid for the first time since 2015. Eight...
Hopefully we can have a more normal world and hockey continues with fans this year. We return a pretty solid core with more depth than in recent years. I'm fairly optimistic about our incoming frosh, we are still a very young team that gained experience having played Clarkson and Q-Pac a total...
We open today in a shortened season like no other we have ever seen. Raiders expected middle of the pack once again. Looks to be a better than average group of recruits highlighted by NHL six foot five goalie Carter Gylander (Detroit) and Alex Young (Calgary) brother of Colton Young GP 53, 36...
I see more of the same for this year, almost named the thread that but figured it was inappropriate. Looks like we have a few decent kids coming in, I guess we need someone, maybe McMann to step up, nine goals doesn't cut it as the top scorer. Last year was abysmal, we need to find some scoring...
This is difficult, your guess is as good as mine. Two new forwards, three frosh goalies(of which one is a walkon) and a below average offense returning. I would say the defense is Colgate's strongest asset but we need to score more goals. Point stole six or seven games last year so if one of...
With a game this Saturday against Niagara Sept 30, I believe this is our earliest start ever. We lost three of our top five scorers from last year from a very anemic offense. The make or break factor for this years team will be it's ability to put some pucks in the goal.
I'm not sure where the...
With the new rink and the Spink bros legacy gone it feels kind of like we're starting from the beginning again. Last year was a disaster, we again will be very young, laden with frosh and sophs. With ten recruits bodies won't be a problem this year but where will the scoring come from...
I couldn't get boxcast to work last night. After several phone calls and emails the boxcast rep(who was polite at least) said he could bypass the protocol and gave me a address to type in and he wouldn't charge me. This was fifteen minutes into the first period.
Then the stream ended before the...
With the excitement of the new rink this will be a bittersweet ending for me kind of like losing an old friend. Built in 1959, my first peewee team in 1962, guestimating I've seen well over 500 games in my fifty plus years of watching Gate hockey. From Kollevol to Vaughan, remembering the...
With not too much to talk about over the holidays how do you think your team has done at this point ? Obviously Harvard has been the biggest surprise on the positive side and maybe Brown the biggest disappointment. How about prognostications for the second half, playoff predictions, Lake placid...
I was trying to wait and " continue to fly under the radar " but I would assume the bullseye has been applied to our jerseys now. Someone said they haven't seen this much optimism since 2001, I don't think I've ever seen more and I go back to the sixties. This is tremendous, but I just hope it...
