The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I just like well-played basketball, played by talented players, with competitive games.
It's true that we haven't had a bunch of overtime games, or wins at the buzzer, but we've had some really competitive games played in the last couple of rounds, and I expect this weekend to be more of the same.
I think it's been boring only from the standpoint that we haven't seen someone unexpected make a run.
But the basketball has been terrific, and I expect the same this weekend. Seems pretty clear these are the four best teams in the land, and I wouldn't want to bet a sizable amount of money on...
I suspect this years turnout has probably been helped by the presence of some local teams in both the Ohio and Pa regionals. I prefer the regional setup, but it sucks when no one is present, especially when there are some exciting games. Even though I, unfortunately, don't have a dog in this...
You are 100% correct. It was an extremely narrow decision. But, and this is the important part, it went in favor of gun control.
I really do believe what I posted a few years ago, that gun control advocates could successfully copy the playbook of abortion opponents. I'll admit, I thought...
Well, this is odd news. I see the SCOTUS upheld a regulation on ghost guns.
I seem to recall a few years ago, in one of the myriad debates about guns here in Cafe, that when asked what I would do, I suggested that gun control advocates take a page from the abortion opponents playbook and...
I don't expect people to remember everything I post, so no need to apologize. My intent in adding that sentence was not to seek an apology, but in case anyone wanted to go back and search. I can tell them two specific conversations where it was discussed.
If people want to accuse me of being...
First, and as you surely know, I have admitted to being wrong before. Five years ago, almost to the day, someone asked me to hazard a guess as to how many people might die from Covid in this country, and I guessed a number that turned out to be absurdly low. I have admitted, on multiple...
My take on the last two months? I'd say it's been pretty much like everyone anticipated. Every morning Donald Trump gets out of bed with one purpose and one purpose only -- to make himself the primary focus of all media and social media in this country, if not the world. It's a variation on...
I didn't see mention of this anywhere else, so I apologize if it's already been posted.
College Hockey, Inc., is sponsoring a new television show on college hockey that they call College Hockey Nation. They are partnering with ESPN on it.
I looked up the first episode last night on the...
I don't have any spoilers to post, but I agree with Shirtless that we could use a Westworld thread where we are free to discuss episodes without ruining it for people who haven't seen all the episodes.
I do have a non-spoiler related questions. Has anyone read the book? If so, how does the...
I went looking for the old thread but I see we managed to lock it up.
Brad S. posted a link to a Paisley story about the upcoming NCHC meetings, and possible changes. I think the one that is most intriguing relates to the NCHC playoffs, and the idea of skipping the first round series and have...
The beauty of making the Frozen Four, win or lose, is the college hockey off-season is at least two weeks shorter.
Dave Berger's recent write-ups on the 2014-15 squad:

No series thread yet?
North Dakota's annual exhibition against the Washington Generals is over. It's now time to turn to the games that count.
Am I correct that this is the first meeting between the schools? I know virtually nothing about Merrimack's team other than they were...
