    CHL to NCAA Recruiting Megathread

swear to god im not joking- one of the top 2027 OHL Draft eligibles, Jayden Challenger, has reportedly accelerated his schooling and will commit to Michigan State. thats 2011 born. it isn't that wild of a call though since his brother Tyler is also committed there, he's playing for Sarnia this...

Boston University Terriers 2026-2027 season…insert clever title here!

famously i am a big fan and believer of him, but i was (pleasantly) surprised to see the praise and then subsequently his underlying numbers for the game. really pleased with how he looked. reportedly Aiden Celebrini also looked pretty good. i couldn't watch the games as much as i wanted (and...

Boston University Terriers 2026-2027 season…insert clever title here!

adding to the game limit thing- Ivy Leagues are also forced start their season way later, so this matchup couldn't be a regular season game even if they wanted. this is Brown's only game until the end of the month. that's why the ivies always play less games in a season. i don't mind this game...

Quinnipiac Bobcats 2026-27 - Cherry Blossom Special

Congrats Gabriel on winning the battle of the Frascas in both the result and by getting his first collegiate goal! Jacob was even on the ice for it... he can lord this over him for forever. cute piece on their first collegiate battle from Q30 goaltending seems pretty solid for now. while UNH is...

    Lake State Lakers 2026-27

im an outside observer myself- sharks fan and prospect watcher who has been tracking the entire CHL-NCAA landscape since the rule change. the CCHA has been particularly interesting to watch the changes. i watched a full season of Bemidji State in 23-24 when a draft pick of ours was on the team...

    CHL to NCAA Recruiting Megathread

who is ready for the season???? we're seeing a bunch of CHLers get letters, makes me think of all the ridiculous things people used to say about the CHL kids before the rule change about them being bad at school and questioning if they'd fit in... i think they're doing just fine lol not a full...

Quinnipiac Bobcats 2026-27 - Cherry Blossom Special

unsure if it was intentional or not, but nice touch to have one of the new goalies nicknames in the title 😛 Kirsch means Cherry in German so people call him that, usually he puts a cherry somewhere on his goalie helmet too... was looking at the schedule and noticed this- we get the Frasca Bowl...

    Lake State Lakers 2026-27

honestly perfect opportunity with the CHL rule change like the rest of the CCHA and the new money coming in boosting the recruiting budget. i even saw Mike York a week and a half ago at the Rookie Showcase walking through Sharks Ice with some other scouts, which is a newer recruiting ground for...

    BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

didn't know that, awesome!! he's lower on the depth chart right now but hes a rookie in the q, not that crazy. making a Q roster has become a lot harder after the rule change so credit to him. also not just a 3 point game for Frost- report from a local fan is he got "Frosty" chants when named...

    BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

i think what happened w Frost this season was the overage rule numbers game and possibly Fronts captain D Vann Williamson not going to college as he had originally planned. once he left Clarkson, Frost was the odd one out. Newfoundland will be a good spot for him- he just had a 3 point game...

    Lake State Lakers 2026-27

as a +1 to Bill's point- the thing w those incoming class rankings are how good a team is at putting it all together. being good on paper only takes you so far. i think they could achieve more but it's not hard to see why the media is skeptical. minnesota state gets the opposite of this even...

Boston University Terriers 2026 Offseason Thread

imo we wont be able to tell until the games are being played, but a few of the returning guys fit that bill and were rewarded for it late in the season with extra playing time. if you want guys from blue collar towns, Svoboda is from Pittsburgh. though id temper how much the location matters...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

i understand the hesitation based on your own thoughts of if it should be allowed, but one of the things ive heard from other fans is this: if there is a pathway to improving the team, coaches owe it to the team and fanbase to use all the avenues available, whether or not you personally think it...
