The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
If people can't get on and off hogan rd they shouldn't be driving. The south bound off ramp from Stillwater ave is place of concern as there is a 2 lane bridge where one would normally merge and oops no more lane.
The Broadway bridges started during Covid, they lost a fall and winter due to weather. The traffic there is a nightmare, they should be done by winter and then we get Cianbro doing 2 bridges over Stillwater ave and the Diamond interchange is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist especially...
Hampden I believe has a bridge on maine street with composite beams and for sure bridge in a box on rte 69. So I guess its possible for them to be designed correctly just this one wasnt for whatever reason?
Someday I'm going to get to a Bucees and I'm going to ask the manager if I can see electrical room. 60 pumps(really dispensers as pumps are in tanks) means several hundred conduits to run said pumps. Love to see how they organize that.
Yes, they make bridge in a box so I assume they have ties to UM. ALso the beams that failed apparently moved around in a big windstorm recently so that doesn't sound like a rebar and concrete beam. Its going to be awhile before they announce what really happened until then lots of speculation.
When I was youngster went with Family to Montreal. I want to say 1967? Don't remember much other than riding on Subway/train, for a Maine kid that was cool :)
Federal prosecutor talking about the rule of law in Luigi case makes me yell at TV and then talks about how Luigi planned the killing. United Healthcare plans its killings also.
I saw DEVO and Billy Idol, what a hoot DEVO was. I'd see them again. Billy Idol sings a wee bit lower then he used to but he had back up singers that picked up the hard parts. Not really a fan of Billy but it was a good show also.
Like I said Basalt, they are a company in Winterport and was told a while back they were manufacturing stuff( i wasn't told specifics) for that bridge. I can see steel bending but the pics look like the beams broke. This is going to be a nightmare to figure out what happened and then get a new...
It broke in half, how the heck do those beams just buckle like that. that will add years to that project as you have to question the other part of that design as its actually two bridges
