    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

FWIW, Todd Milewski has an article up about "our favorite topic". "... but [Enright] wasn't on the roster as of last week, coach Mark Johnson said. 'Personally, that's all I can add to it because that's all I know,' Johnson said. It wasn't clear whether that could change or what led to Enright...

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

Look at the thread. After Enright's name was taken down from the roster page, I posted "disappointed... good luck to her" etc. And since then I have ONLY responded to posts by "BadgerDad", and you and whoever else has brought it back up. If you guys want it to "go away", then stop coming back...

You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine. If you want the topic to "go away", then stop coming back to it.

    I can, and do.

Once more, it is a simple concept. Would the family member have any reason to object to you NAMING them specifically as the person who told you about Enright's decision, etc? Would they have any reason to not want you to disclose the circumstances under which you and they had this conversation...

    YES!!! WHY NOT BE?

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

Do you really want to do this all again? OK. Once again, here's my "problem". You guys won't say how you came to know a piece of information. When I ask WHY you won't say how you came to know this piece of information, you won't answer that question, in any substantive way. I am left to draw...

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

FWIW: When I moved back from California and started going to UW women's hockey games in 2009 (at the Kohl Center), face value on the tickets was $5, and the per game price for season tickets was $3 per game. At the rate of inflation since then, the comparable prices would be a little under $9...

I have nothing at all to apologize for.

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

It is disappointing news for Badger hockey, no matter when and how it was learned. As I said. good luck to her.

A few years ago, yes. The last couple years, no. And that is true for volleyball, as well as women's hockey (the two I have season tickets for; can't say about any of the others). There was no notice about today, at all.

    WCHA 26-27 Season Thread

The five-year clock starts either upon college enrollment, or the academic year after the person's 19th birthday. She started at Duluth in the fall of '23. But she turned 19 in May of 2022. So, I think her five-year clock started in the fall of 2022, despite her not being in college that year. ...

    WCHA 26-27 Season Thread

Ohio State volleyball coach had very much that same 'situation' coming out of COVID. Four or five 'all-conference' players who had an extra COVID year, and four or five well-regarded recruits coming in. She felt like she needed to honor the commitment to the recruits, met with the COVID seniors...

I'm disappointed that Enright won't be part of the team this year. She had the opportunity to equal Lacey Eden's four NCAA championships. Congratulations, and thanks to her. Here's hoping thing go well for her out in "the real world". Once a Badger ...

    Danger Lurking in Older Rinks?

There was a game, Wisconsin at Lindenwood, a half-dozen years ago that was cancelled when players started feeling Ill during warm-ups. IIRC, the daughter of Wisconsin head coach Mark Johnson, Mikayla, ended up going to the hospital. The UW medical people now carry carbon monoxide detectors with...

"Pre-sale" for tickets at Lambeau started this morning, and if the TicketMaster web site is to be believed, initial sales are going pretty well. Pricing is expensive, and 'odd'. 'Center ice' sections are $100 for lower rows - nearer the playing field - then get more expensive in the middle of...

The question would be 'do coaches actually make these choices, or do they hand the task off to some sports information person?'. AJ Harrison, for example. (Nothing against AJ; he'd be way more qualified than me! LOL)

Don't be ridiculous. 1) I'm not an anonymous poster, 2) I named who I was talking to, and 3) how I came to be talking to her, in detail. The "inside info" posters here are zero for three on that list.

If it was shared in a routine matter-of-fact conversation, then why not simply say who the conversation was with? A number of years ago, there was a later season game where Sarah Nurse left the ice in the third period, and didn't return. So people were a little worried. A few days later, I was...
