2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

Of course Cuéllar is endorsed. They protect their own. Nothing new there. Not saying it’s a good thing. The Democrats have a lot more constituencies to keep happy. Black and brown people aren’t flocking to Bernie Sanders’ type candidates- at least, not the older ones who are reliably voting...

Yep. Paxton is our best hope. A quadruple down on all of this bullshit.

2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

Sounds an awful lot like Maine is going to be having meaningful elections this fall… Now get rid of Susan fucking Collins.

Dump Term 2 Part 5: He Didn't Specify Which Civilization Would Die...

“He said if he wins again in 2028, that’s a 50% increase in his election wins, and with all that winning, by 2032 he’d help decrease voter participation by 600%.”

The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

I’d vote for el-Sayed in a heartbeat if I lived in Michigan. He’s viable in a Democratic primary. If he’s not, what the fuck is the point of the primary? Don’t let the money talk, let the votes talk. If you’re progressive, sounds like el-Sayed is your guy.

Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

On the healthcare debate, I always figured it would be easier and less jarring to move to universal healthcare via what DGF is proposing, rather than go straight to single-payer, given what we currently have in this country. The government can still be very much involved, but they don’t have to...

The Countries: Forget it, Burkina Faso, Michigan is still the worst.

So that’s what, 216 more seats until they match their Republican counterparts?

2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

When I saw the Va Supreme Court was 5-2 GOP (I know, I know, nonpartisan lololol) I figured this could easily be the outcome.

119th congress: must be at least 75 to chair a committee!

Susie’s seat should always be a legitimate get for Democrats, especially now. If it’s such a “blue” state, prove it.

I knew what you meant, and I certainly didn’t make that clear in my post. I have no issues with you or anyone else on here for that matter. It’s a message board. You are my blue brethren in the sea of red I reside in. I come here to chill, not get riled up.

119th congress: must be at least 75 to chair a committee!

Of the remaining semi-regular posters on the Cafe, we're all united, even ticap. No way someone can spend countless hours campaigning for a political candidate in Kamala Harris and not be VBNMW. No way Kamala Harris is the gold standard of the Left, and I remember arguing on here that Kamala...

119th congress: must be at least 75 to chair a committee!

This is where I think Kepler gets it wrong. It’s not Centrist versus Left, it’s rich versus poor, and there are plenty of rich (social) progressives who vote for the Democrat who is not pounding the drum to raise taxes on the rich.
