    May not seem like it, but this is a good thing because it'll put pressure on RPI (and the other ECAC teams) to also go for it. Last I heard, I expected us to opt in eventually, but it was not imminent. Hopefully this speeds up the timeline

    Note this only matters if they turn 21 during the season while in junior hockey. If they have a later birthday than say April or whenever their season ended, they don't need to worry about it...

    See my reply above. The players that commit during junior hockey are able to prepare for this by enrolling in a local or community college and then use that loophole. The ones who didn't prepare and ended up in pro hockey or USports aren't able to use the loophole

    He turned 21 during the season and then played games after turning 21. Usually teams get around this with overagers by having them enrolled in a local college so it's technically a "transfer" in, which preserves that year of eligibility. However, a CHL guy would not have prepared to do that...
