If UNH was so cost conscious...which of course they have to be with their backs against the wall financially...then I guess they are ok with many STH's and regular UNH hockey enthusiasts making choices to not renew, go to games? We never know those stats, those that don't renew and can only go...- HockeyRef

I think the writings pretty much on the wall..UNH as a rule does not or rarely fires coaches. The men's ball coach was like Dick Umile...long time coach...UNH tried and true. I think it all depends on how he does next season. And I don't think it's a great feat to make it to the qtrs...but don't tell Merrimack that! Personally? He could finish last and UNH will extend him anyway. I know others feel this way as well. This whole argument about him is getting pretty...- HockeyRef

Others are going to be a bit more detailed but I always point to how well players develop from year to year. Not necessarily whether or not they get to 100 points but you should see it from year to year... Since alot of our players stay 4 years these days especially you should be able to point...- HockeyRef
