The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Well, the only way we would’ve gotten anything through was to eliminate the filibuster. So I don’t really see it that way. Do you want to eliminate the filibuster? That probably sounds great when your side is in the majority… But how would you feel about it now the Democrats are in the minority?
In hindsight, driving Franklin out was certainly a mistake although at the time seemed appropriate especially given the timing and the me too movement.
I fully support the public option in Obama care. I’d have to look back on the circumstances on why we were not able to get it through probably...
Right… Tuberville is a moron.
Not sure how that relates to my opinion that the far left of the Democratic Party is also moving too extreme in some things?
If he is trying to start a third “moderate” party, I would suggest that will fail as a third party has never really worked.
What do you think Manchin / Synema did that destroyed the country?
As to Collins - I believe there was a time she was more moderate but has largely caved in that in the...
I don’t see why that’s funny? Indeed there was a time that I considered myself more of a moderate Republican… The party definitely left me and I have subsequently voted mostly for Democrats… Now I fear the same thing is happening but on this side.
I get that for those on the far left or far...
I may have found it - talking about preserving the filibuster? It sounded pretty reasonable to me.
Or was there another interview you are talking about?
And if I vote D i also own the DSA platform?
Maybe that is the problem with the country right now - our choices are project 2025 or DSA - and nothing in between.
I think that is exactly what Drew is saying. If there were more candidates they could be more selective.
But let’s be honest… “defund the police” was a stupid concept and probably cost democrats many elections.
To name a few:
- Eliminating the senate
- Fully Abolishing police and prisons
- Eliminating borders entirely
- Housing becomes government provided (Reading the platform it is unclear if you could even purchase your own home)
- Eliminating the department of defense
Now who knows what is...
That does seem to be a big difference - i think i posted earlier that Gideon was a millionaire transplant from Rhode Island who lives in Freeport (which i think is. In that sense i would think Troy will have a better ability to make many Mainers think he can identify with their struggles.
