    Yep - from living in Oxford ("southern" England), I know that it is roughly the same latitude as the southern tip of Hudson Bay - most of the UK is north of THAT. Edinburgh, Scotland is just a bit south of Juneau, AK.

    That snag is still just the 2nd best catch of the day - wow! Someday I'm sure I'll feel empathy for Penn State again - I have multiple family ties. I searched my feelings deeply, and came up empty, so I guess today is still not that day.

    Not at all. Just as how people rationalized bloodletting failures for centuries (“wow, the patient was so sick, not even bloodletting could save them”), conservatives just say, “See how bad the Biden economy was? Not even Trump can get it turned around!”

    Playing with fire if you go that far. Although with southwestern VA being what it is, you could probably make that 1 GOP district end up R+80…. Edit: Lee and Scott counties “only” went R+72 and +70, respectively, so I was a little off, but not that much!

    Can't find the article now, but apparently it's not a religious thing at all, just a geographic thing. In the region where there is a lot of unrest and tribal/militia activity, there are indeed quite a lot Christians being killed - more than 1000 per year. But guess what? That region happens...
