    Took a peek out of curiosity. In 1975, Congress had 291 Democrats and 144 Republicans. In 1995, GOP had just picked up a net gain of 54 seats to take control of the House, 230-204. Almost like when you're desparate, you'll open the book of black magic, even though you know you shouldn't.
