The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
In less than 24 hours, Trump went from “you don’t defend a lease, we must own it and will take it by force if necessary and put 25% tarriffs on anyone who opposes us” to “we have a framework of a deal with no force, no tarriffs, and no change of ownership.” That’s impressive, even for Trump...
Not sure why this song popped into my head from nature camp circa 1981, but there it is:

The analogy of Valley People/Mountain Kingdom = US/Denmark is uncanny. Starting a war to get something that is already freely offered by a friend.
This might work better than most. Have we ever tried regime change by leaving the ruling party in charge? If nothing else, at least the mistakes will be new this time!
Know how I know he's dumb? 'Cause he's proposing to give 56,000 raging socialists 3 EV. If we do take Greenland, we absolutely, 100% want it to be a state and not just another Puerto Rico.
I can agree with all of that....AND also believe that we are far less barbaric than we used to be.
The fact that you can enumerate the relatively few places where barbarism happens today proves the point. In the 1300s, EVERY country was Somalia.
If you think we are remotely as barbaric as past civilizations, I'd recommend:

We are not.
We have evolved, and Dump is just a speedbump in the long march forward.
