    Nubs aside, good game tonight from both sides. Despite the shot totals I don’t think either team carried the play. Both teams are very average. Neither goalie particularly helped them out. Both sides I feel have some work to do. Neither of these teams are top 10 teams right now.

    Not true. The top 5-10 d3 teams can beat the lower end D1 schools on any given night. D1 teams would get their teeth kicked in by ECHL teams, and wouldn’t get many more than a handful of shots on goal against AHL teams. A lot of times for these transfers it comes down to opportunity.
