The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I'm looking at UNH's schedule and they may love splitting a series even more than Maine does. They have yet to play 2 games in a weekend without going 1-1
For my money, that team probably had to most pro players on it with the least collective NHL games played. Seems like just about everybody on that roster played in the ECHL, AHL, or Europe.
Ironically, the next season brought in 3 players that were still playing in the show last season (Shore...
CHN has a nice little article on Poirier. There's also a brief throw in that Langois is doing well.

The conference as a whole needs to step up in the midseason nonconference window. As of now, Hockey East has a losing record against the Big10, NCHC, and the ECAC.
I'm so confident they will win one of the games this weekend. Maine is the best team of all time for one game every weekend. The problem is that they play two
My GOAT 🐐
Also tonight's broadcast is on NESN so no Lazarus for his many fans among us.
EDIT: I might have spoke too soon. Jonny works for NESN as well...
I found some fun facts to kill time until puck drop:
Josh's 4 point game last night brought him back to exactly 1 Pt/G for his career!
UMass has the worst attendance percentage in Hockey East at 58.1% (albeit with the highest capacity building)!
Brandon Holt has exactly half his point total...
Its hard to nitpick a game where SOG were 54-16, but the offensive zone penalties continue to be a plague for this team. However, I was impressed with the breakout pretty much all night. There where only a handful of turnovers and even the thought process behind them seemed sound.
I would...
Seems like UMass and Maine are having similar issues so far this season. They also have a large group of new faces and have had some struggles gelling. Hrabel has been as disappointing as Boija.
Oh, they also have the #2 freshman goal scorer in the country in Nestrasil. With 7 goals, he trails...
The poll is such a crapshoot right now. Denver, NoDak, UConn, and Maine all keep dropping games they should win. Nobody outside the top 3 or 4 is really pulling away
I'm 99% sure there is something wrong with the mic. Mannix would be great if they mixed his audio properly. IMO, announcers should get excited about scoring chances, but the crackling in the audio is ear splitting.
The cameras could also use an upgrade. It looks like a LiveBarn feed out there.
I've finally calmed down after a disastrous weekend to get some thoughts together. Maine is still a very skilled team, but lack discipline. How many of the 11 penalties this weekend were in the offensive zone? And the bone headed turnovers continue. The good news is these things can be fixed...
This points to why Friday night was such a disaster. We had a big win against a top team lined up and we let it slip away and we may not be able to rely on the strength of the conference this year.
I hate that decision. If the AHA and CCHA have enough talent for the big schools to raid the cabinets every year, they have enough talent to showcase on this team.
