The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
You need both though. No matter what, we won't outspend the big guns. You need facilities and development models to bring in recruits when the money is similar
The good news is goalies like Hicks are available. Heck, he was committed to Tennessee State until the program fell through!
That said, Boija is the only goalie currently on the roster. I need a portal addition.
In the era of yearly full roster reconstruction, this is the ways. Plunder the AHA, ECAC, and lower end HEA teams and bring in a handful of quality recruits every year
There's been a lot of push back on this idea. Particularly the separate championships. IMO if you aren't D1 in whatever system, there's little point in investing in the program. We would see basically the entire AHA disappear.
With Boija coming back, how do we expect the staff to address Goalie? I doubt they kick Rousseau to the curb, but we desperately need a stronger tandem than last season. I suspect they are banking on Rousseau developing rather than bringing in a portal goalie.
These thoughts are all sparked by...
I'm happy for Djury, but the D corp is devoid of solid upperclassmen next season. It's Nobes and then this year's freshmen. (Technically Motew is a sophomore). Hopefully we get another strong older option from the portal
If we want to talk about programs to cut, what is the point of funding one of the worst basketball programs in the country?
At least baseball gives the University a spring sport to support
