The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
McCarthy was facing #6 (NPI) Babson, Manzi #75 Elmira, so not a fair comparison at all. As noted, Manzi's rebounds are a problem. Most of the goals we gave up this weekend are on our defense, not the goaltenders. DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE! We have been suspect on defense all year so far...
Just for fun, here's Baker's 19:59 of the third GWG against Plattsburgh. I'd feel bad for them, but they've broken our hearts so many times with similar stuff.
Enjoy it while you can- we're #6 in the popularity contest and...... #2 in the (at this point in the season meaningless) NPI. But that should all change after next weekend. Gulp.
Interesting. Oswego installed goal cameras on the redlight racks 4 or 5 years ago. As far as I know they were never used in games and they were removed a few years ago.
Crowd was BIG. Team looked good, but as mentioned above slowed down the last half of the game. Big lead to play with? First game conditioning? Fisher took advantage of it and played us much more even towards the end. I'm sure they had their nerves early on since it was their first game...
I ran into "someone who should know" yesterday and if I understood correctly they said that traditionally coaches don't get the teams until early October, but the captains can work with the team on and off the ice at any point. However more recently coaches are allowed 8 practices (2 per week)...
What are the NCAA Div III rules for when and what and who teams are allowed to do as school starts late summer? "Dry" training, on-ice, with captains and with coaches?
