The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Interesting Beaver was selected first team by Diii Hockey and Soderwall first team by USCHO. I figured Soderwall deserved it because he played the entire schedule while Hobart was lucky to have 2 great goalies as Goyer split with Beaver during the season although Beaver took the tougher games on...
So, I've only been to Oswego for an away game, and that was pretty cool. How would you rank the other venues in the SUNYAC (please no comments on THE COOLER, I'm really sensitive after all those mean Utica posts )
Agree, both are deserving. I don't really look at this AA stuff, it is so difficult to assess in D3, but I didn't realize there was hate for Utica, I thought it was just for THE COOLER:ROFLMAO:
So, Bobby Orr actually reposted Hobart's winning Championship goal by Fontana on his @RealBobbyOrr on X ......and said "looks familiar" .....the Orr winning Stanley Cup goal...pretty cool for Fontana to be reposted by Bobby Orr....that post got over 300K views , not bad for a D3 Hockey highlight
My Father wanted me to attend The Hill School , but I said who wants to go to school with all boys, I'll go to the local HS...he said you'll study more and get into an Ivy like me. He was probably right, but my weekends and views of legs in the classroom were way better.
Yeah, no way Hobart moves the game. The Cooler it is.They have time to figure out access, but the local Geneva kids , player families and students should be given priority. The Hobart Athletic Dept does not charge for admittance to any event, so "surge pricing" aint going to fix this. I think...
Well, playing at the Nexus certainly rekindled the discussion. The best prospect is partnering with Geneva to revitalize The Cooler. Unfortunately, I don't think Ontario County will float a massive bond the way Oneida County did to get the Nexus Center built, but maybe there are some pockets of...
Looking forward to the YAC next season. Hobart loses some great Seniors, but Beaver and the Junior class want one more Naty and the underclassmen made some big contributions especially in the playoffs. The first step is to win our new conference. As far as the Lax comparison, the Hockey team...
When that Utica shot hit the post(16:14 OT) with such force , I knew that skill and will. wasn't enough for a three peat and luck needed to be part of it. The best one minute in hockey can be watched from 16:25 to 15:20 in OT, beginning with post shot , a Hobart quick response and ending with...
Both teams were exhausted at the end of the OT. Fontana's sliding stretch and scoring poke was inches ahead of the Utica defender and it was the only time all night that Piros couldn't close in time. I just think Hobart's tank had a tad more fuel at the end. A Classic. I was lucky enough to get...
It says 2589 for last night, it seemed four deep standing all around the rink and the few suites were packed with SRO three deep. That means 1,389 standing with 1200 seated, crazy environment, heavily Utica, but Hobart fans held their own
Perfect summary llama. Utica was tough all night, but Hobart willed the win in period 3 and in OT. Beaver made some great acrobatic saves even after his hand was slashed. Piros will be a big factor for Utica hockey for the next 3 years, but nobody matches Beaver.Hobart beat a very hungry team in...
The 2024-2025 season ends tonight. The Statesmen will either become a three-peat Champion or watch the Utica Pioneers celebrate their first Championship . Go Statesmen, and ride your intense work ethic and the luck of the white jerseys to another Championship.
My point was if it we played in Geneseo, there would be more tickets instead of the lower limit at the Nexus, therefore more seats for Hobart fans even with an allotment. But, no worries, I'm dropping it because it's probably bad karma and whining on my part. We'll just do our thing on the ice...
I don't like they way this worked out. The Aud holds 4k , but was unavailable, while Geneseo holds far more than the Nexus. If Utica represented The Aud as the home ice and then switched it out or the NCAA did not consider Geneseo I'm not happy. Hobart fans are really complaining that no tickets...
