The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Good stuff. I have never really considered getting a good telescope. But I have been definitely been considering it more recently. High on the list for sure
ISO was like 1600. And then I used an auto setting on my camera (Nikon CoolPix P950) that is shutter priority. It adjusted the aperture based on the zoom and ended up being like 1.4-2.8. Then I set a timer to avoid shake. The camera then took like a 15-20 second exposure. Maybe a bit longer...
It never really hit me how much is out there until I took the photos myself. I mean I've seen the photos of others but it just never really struck a chord. There is also something about being out there in the still dark. The only sound being the faint rustle of the wind or a distant coyote call.
Didn't know if we had a thread on this and couldn't find one. The other night, I was able to get out and get some ok photos of the comet Lemmon. It was at it's closest to earth on 10/21 and is now moving further away, but actually getting brighter. It will reach peak brightness on 10/31, then...
We just had benefit meetings with my company. I cant remember what % it increased by, but it did go up. We were told that 3 employees have super specific medications that total over $1 million a year alone. And that was a big driving factor in our increase but they were able to negotiate it down...
Nope. Indiana. It's actually my hometown. In the neighborhood I grew up in just down the street from where my mom still lives. I had at least one class with Evan (the dad) in high school. I am 99% certain his wife is from there too.
He has a good YouTube channel. And likely other socials.
I live in Twin Falls. The hate for all things California is so thick in the air you can cut it with a knife.
Even if something has literally nothing to do with California, they will blame it on people from California. I work with people who aren't even native to Idaho. They moved from other...
A friend sent me something about that.
Living in Idaho, I am totally sure everyone will be fine with it (those who are even aware). They don't want people from other states moving here. Another country, a Muslim one at that, building a base will be just fine. Especially since trump says so. If...
Pens sign Flower to a PTO contract so he can suit up for an exhibition game against Columbus on Sept 27. One final game as a Penguin. Probably going to be some of the best selling exhibition tickets ever.
I haven't eaten at one in probably over 20 years. It was only on family vacation and only for breakfast. I avoid chain places at all costs now. Small, regional type chains that have like 5 locations in a state or something are ok sometimes.
I believe the trout they have on the dinner menu at...
Been a while since I have shared a bird. Going with the Red-napped Sapsucker. Found in the US in the Rocky mountains mostly during the breeding season but year-round in some areas and wintering grounds in Southern California over to the Texas Panhandle (and south into Mexico). They are found...
