The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Lack of offense against good teams was the issue with the Cardinals all season long. Six times this year they scored one goal or fewer. Chloe Lewis finished the year with a 0.89 GAA and a .953 save percentage. They got great goal tending all year long. Hopefully the off-season brings a few...
Looks like St. Lawrence will be the team rooting for Penn State today. A Nittany Lion win gives the Saints the last at-large bid. A Mercyhurst win would bump them out.
Thank you for this... I've been monitoring Penn State's precarious position for the last couple of weeks in case they don't win the AHA Auto-bid. I think with Friday night's results, the Nittany Lions are in win or lose.
With the results in the ECAC last night, I believe that Penn state has punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament. The ECAC and WCHA finalists are already secured spots and a Penn State loss today doesn’t seem to drop them. That said, go get ‘em Lions!
Took me one shot at the Pairwise Predictor to find an iteration where Penn State was out. Clarkson winning the ECAC puts the Nittany Lions in a precarious position. Obviously, we're going to win this weekend and not leave it up to chance!
Yeah, I feel more confident in my advice to the Cardinals!
I don't usually look at the USCHO.com poll these days... but I did and I have one question. Who in God's name voted Plattsburgh the #15 team in the country?
Both are going to take one more (as would Penn State) loss to end up in the at-large discussion. Question is would one win for both be enough to jump Penn State and survive a loss in the Championship game? If Clarkson & St. Lawrence both win their SF games, that would mean Colgate and Cornell...
Buffalo was very Jeckyll and Hyde this year. They went 3-1 against you and Cortland, and went 1-3 against Plattsburgh and Canton. It would appear they are pretty inconsistent, or they just really got up for the games with you. I'd be willing to bet you see their best this weekend...
I saw Adam Oates do it once for the Bruins. He was behind the net trying to put it out front and instead it went the length of the ice and into the Boston net. Never seen it in person though. Just on TV. I believe Utah did it in their first home game this year in the NHL.
That was crazy. I guess the lesson is (and this goes for the entire game), point-men cannot have their shot blocked up there. Nothing good ever happens from that. Tying going came with the goaltender pulled. Definitely a close call for Endicott. Shots in the game were 70-24 in favor of...
As predicted, Colby has jumped Plattsburgh as of this morning... Plattsburgh probably needs to beat Cortland this weekend in the SUNYAC semi-final or their season is over... It may be over if they don't win SUNYAC...
So, if the SUNYAC website is correct (and I haven't double-checked it) and Cortland sweeps Oswego this weekend, it would create a three-way tie at the top of the league with identical 14-3-1 records. Anyone know what the tiebreakers are for SUNYAC women's hockey? I couldn't find anything on...
There is no way Oswego isn’t in first. They go have more points than Cortland and a game in hand. Not even sure how the SUNYAC page is sorting the teams at this point.
