RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

    That's a seasonal charge.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

That was my thought as the clock wound down on Saturday. In every renaissance there's a point where momentum clearly shifted. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but Saturday felt like that kind of game. It gave the hardcore fans who've sat through some miserable hockey in recent years hope that...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Can someone explain the genius logic behind having a t-shirt toss to celebrate a goal while play is going on? On Saturday we scored to tie the game and to go ahead in the 3rd. In both cases the Field House was rocking and the crowd was into the game. Then they announced the t-shirt toss and...

    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

It was number 88 Lane and not Gallant that knocked the puck free. It then ricocheted off a defenseman's skate to Gallant, who put it in. Having watched the replay as close to frame by frame as I could (if anyone knows of a way to literally advance frame by frame in the ESPN+ media player as...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Looks like a big crowd tonight with just a few tickets in the corners (not counting the "seats" beyond the curtain, some of which have also been sold). Due an injury in our group I have a couple of spares in Section 7 a few rows from the top (my preferred view). If anyone wants them DM me.

    Union College hockey 2025-26 thread

Seriously? Shouldn't you wait until the guy has had at least a bad season before deciding he's unworthy of coaching in Schenectady? Hasn't Union's record improved every year since he pulled the program up from where it had fallen post-championship? Yes, I know their conference record isn't...

    Cornell@RPI 02/13/2026

Frustrating. Once again the boys played very well against a good team. They are adapting to Lang’s system. We’ve had a few stinkers but in most we’ve been very competitive since the new year and just can’t quite get over the hump. Put a couple of goal scorers on this team and we’d have 3 or...

    RPI at St. Lawrence, 2/7/26

Women up 1-0 over Colgate after 2 despite being outshot 31-5. Keating has been a brick wall in net. Congrats to the band for following the ladies out to Hamilton. It was great to hear the fight song as Beaudoin put in a rebound with about a minute left in the second.

    RPI at Clarkson, 2/6/26

I was worried about this weekend thinking SLU has gotten hot. However, it may just be that Clarkson is frigid.

    RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

Looking at Brandon’s hockey and operations staffs I don’t see an obvious connection to RPI or our coaching staff. It is probably just hard work by coaches Lang and Schneider and a few players that would like to continue playing together. Or maybe they looked at a map and realized RPI is in the...

    RPI@Dartmouth 1/31/26

As I noted in the thread during the game, their goaltender knocked the net off its pegs on his own at least 3 times. It seemed clear that he did it intentionally. It was worthy of at least a delay of game minor. If this guy plays against us on Freakout weekend I hope Coach Lang reminds the...

That’s twice the Dartmouth goalie has intentionally knocked the net off its’ pegs.

Stephen, Now you'e done it. Ralph's up half the night as it is. With your teaser he's probably going to be checking scripts 24 hours a day for commitment tweets.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

The difference between being one of the upper teams and one of the bottom teams in the standings is often remarkably small. We’ve all seen teams add a few key pieces and turn things around in a season or two. See the AFC rep in the SB (yes, I know they had an easy regular season schedule, but...

RPI vs Union (Mayor's Cup), Saturday, 1/24/26

This game reminds me of the playoff game at Harvard a few years ago where everything came unglued in the last few minutes.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

My ideal location would be on the field next to North Lot, but it ‘s not quite big enough. At best it would probably fit a small rink like at Colgate or Bentley.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

It looks like they are proposing a European football-style standing section for students behind the east goal. The pitch in such a design can be quite extreme, which would be necessary in order to fit in that many rows without blowing out the wall at that end. Also, where is the band in this...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

I only saw the first period of last night’s game, which left me thinking it was going to be a close game but we had a chance to pick up a lbadly needed home win against a team with zero wins on the road. I was shocked to see the final score. After a road weekend during which the Engineers...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

We played many a late night/early morning intramural game in HFH and IIRC the ice was at the same level as the rest of the arena. It was lowered in '82, presumably in anticipation of the original plan to move the walkway to the top of the stands and extending seating to the boards. I presume...

    RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

Young in the sense that we’ll probably have a lot of freshman and sophomores, but all 3 recent defense commits have at least 4 years in major junior. Two will have had 5 full seasons. These are arguably the most experienced players we’ve ever recruited.
