The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Sorry for the delayed response. Too busy last week to read the board. Not surprised based on his lack of PT. He was a guy I really wanted to like, but never seemed to buy into Rand's system. Good luck to him in the future. Seemed like a nice guy.
I hope so but this continues the theme of the season. This team plays to the level of their opponent. Loved the effort both games. I do think the team reset after the embarrassing loss to Union. Also with Wilmer out, others need to step up. We have seen a lot of Wyttenbach (who I love) and...
Thanks for the reminder. The earlier start would actually work out better. Still trying to figure out if I will be able to ski this weekend. :) Mittens may be the solution but my wife may kill me first.
Is Silverstein hurt? If so I must have missed that. Was wondering why he did not get a start recently. Curious on Wilmer's injury as well. I originally planned to see both games this weekend but am having minor hand surgery on Thursday. Saturday night may be the best game to attend but...
Weird game but a win. We continue to play to the level of the competition. As well as Marinov has played at times, he lets in a lot of soft goals. Huge save by him in OT. Stonehill will not be easy either. Hopefully team is focused on Sat.
I said that to myself last night. Yale deserved to win. This team is like the 2017-2018 team that last lost to Yale. Tons of shots and no pucks in the net. Shooting bad angles. I hope they regroup after the embarassment. No easy one at Brown tonight either.
This team seems to play to...
I would love a return trip up there. Could not make the last one in 2013. I've been to 45 of the 50 states with Alaska still needed to check off the list.
Respect to your team. They know how to play us. Now if we could hit the back of the net with all our shots, it would be a different story. But kudos to your goalie. He played us well both times. Good luck the rest of the season. Very tough for the team with all that travel.
My other concern is the lack of scoring on Friday nights. A lot of shots still. I assume that is due to all the new faces. Plus we had the Tuesday night game against HC. I seem to recall this being somewhat of an issue last year early on as well.
Merrimack was looking for a payback for the...
Great comeback on Friday night and huge win on Saturday. Maine looked a little drained on Saturday. Great overall results for the team so far. This week should be interesting with @Holy Cross tomorrow and @Merrimack and @UNH this weekend. Hopefully the team's energy remains high.
Marinov has been fine but Maine beat him high on 2 of the goals. Something to watch because he squats in goal. Love Verreault, Vidacek and Wyttenbach. All should be key players by years end. Also love Sward. From Devon Toews home town.
Woof. That was as bad as the Providence game. Credit to Alaska for clogging the lanes. They looked like us on defense. Suffocating.
The offense has a long way to go right now.
Wow! What a win. That team looked like the 2015-2016 team and not just because they beat BC. Great puck control, crisp passing, chipping pucks away on defense, high energy. Only concern was goaltending but the defense blocked a lot of shots. I hope they keep this up but great first effort.
Excited to start the season. Hoping for another trip to the NCAA’s. Go Bobcats!
I saw we are playing in the Friendship Four next year with some familiar foes in UND, Wisconsin and Northeastern. I may need to make that trip this time. Last 2 didn’t work out.
Personally I would like to see the team a little bigger, but we recruit the best players for our system. We brought in a bunch of high skill freshman last year that will need to step up this year. Schedule is tough to start so we need the upperclassmen to lead the way.
Looking forward to this...
