UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I would like to see Maine in the Palm Springs tourney and start a H&H series with ASU.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Maine has a couple of NPI worthy opponents left in Lindenwood and Denver. Right now only Northeastern makes the NCAA tourney from HE.....and Dartmouth & Lindenwood are in.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Looks like only 1 HE team in the tourney this season.

Not sure what is up with women's hoop but they are not living up to expectations. Today's 70-39 loss was embarrassing.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Lots of programs went all in on the CHL recruiting strategy.....it was like a feeding frenzy. And now the results are bearing that out across the college hockey landscape. It's been a weird season for Maine so far....Boija has been a bit off and the team has been a bit off. They have the...

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

This is so frustrating. I wonder if Maine is ever going to figure out the mental aspect of these second games sometime this season?🙄

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Hockey East feels like only 2-3 bids this year. Maine's games vs. Lindenwood (#23 NPI) and Denver (#6 NPI) will be taking on more importance in the grand scheme of things.

Maine really making life difficult for themselves.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Maine football getting pummeled by URI 28-7 at the half.....yikes.

Women's soccer with a great win over Vermont for the AE Championship......Maine football with a big game vs. URI on Saturday in Orono.....2 upcoming games at Alfond vs. Vermont.....exciting times for Black Bear fans!

Was anyone else feeling like they were watching vintage Shawn Walsh era hockey tonight? These last 3 games….as Ned Martin would have said….mercy!

These veterans are starting to piss me off with their penalties.

Maine starting to look like vintage BC teams offensively.

The thing that gives me hope is how they came back and answered BU multiple times last weekend. To me that was the biggest positive development. The goaltending is still a question mark though.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I think that the jump was due more to BU being overrated (and still are IMO) than the voters respecting Maine. I like Maine feeling a bit of pressure though....if they want to get back to being a perennial contender they are going to have to handle the pressure of being on top.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I think that Maine whiffed a bit on the whole media set-up with this Alfond renovation. In this day and age it makes a lot of sense to upgrade your media facilities since every game is now streamed and literally available to everyone that has an ESPN sub. Not sure what upgrades were done if...

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

BU has a great collection of draft picks.....good for them! Their team speed and goaltending was not up to snuff though.
