The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
We're on to Cincinnati........ There's no silver linings obviously but we need to remember that was the first back-to-back in D1 for the Freshmen who are still getting conditioned to this level, and Kilcullen and Classon weren't supposed to play as much as they did. August was a last minute...
I think that if teams are using it to gain a competitive advantage then that's something Lowell needs to try to tap into regardless of whether they agree with it or not. The programs who accept and adjust to the changes will be the best positioned for success.
I'd like to see Elliott be the starter until he loses the job. Richard obviously faced a bigger workload but I felt his play was scrambly and he had a tough time tracking the puck at points. He also could've stopped Mac's first and second goals.
The last one was definitely the best. Great puck movement and looks. All the others were pretty meh. Hopefully it'll continue to be a point of emphasis and strides will be made.
Solid start. The freshmen seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on. Specifically Shipley and Tnias on the back end. Shipley started making more plays with the puck and Tnias was playing more assertive in all three zones. Also, that fourth line could create absolute misery for teams...
I don't know if anyone else listens to McMahon's podcast, but on the most recent addition he mentioned how he really likes Diego Buttazzoni as an underrated freshman entering D1 that's not getting the same attention as some of the other CHL guys. Here's to hoping him and Mirko have big years.
I will just say that Cole Lonsdale had a good season in the BCHL scoring just over a PPG. It's not the CHL, but from everything I've read his speed seems to be his greatest strength, which (hopefully) will help at this level. If it is a repeat of last season with the second half regression I...
The contract expires at the end of 2026 - 2027. I'm very intrigued to see how CHL production translates to the NCAA. Not just for the Lowell players but every player making the jump. My biggest concern is the defense and goaltending. Almost an entirely new backend, and three new goalies. I'm...
Based on Dillan Bentley's instagram story yesterday promoting a shooting clinic he made a guest appearance at, it looks like him and Schweighardt are going to be two of the captains this season.
Since we're inching closer to the end of the cycle for 2025-2026 freshman recruits, I thought I'd take a look at the NZ recruiting rankings. Lowell currently ranked 13th in the country and 4th in Hockey East behind BU, Maine, and Providence. I'd like to know how much the site weighs the number...
Most people in the forums and on social media, myself included, seem to be concerned with the D core and how they'll perform with so many new players having to play big minutes, but here's an interesting offensive stat: In 2024-2025 Seniors/Grads/Players who transferred out accounted for 127 out...
On the surface this looks like a much more difficult schedule than last season. December through the first weekend of February is going to be an absolute grind. 12 out of 16 games against teams that made the tournament, and 9 in a row after the Cactus Cup to finish off that stretch against...
Lol the national media Leafs bias jokes never get old :ROFLMAO:
I do sympathize with CHL fans because now it seems like every team that's in the B1G Ten, BU, BC, Denver, or North Dakota can pretty much poach players from every other NCAA program at-will. That's how the CHL fans must feel about...
