The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Badgers break the curse in the house of horrors on Friday the 13th. Has the abyss been traversed? If Hauser is out I don't have much faith in Pulver. He looks like he forgot how to play goalie sometimes.
It would have been nice if the men's team had attended the women's game today. After a lackluster effort yesterday, the women pulled on the sweater today and gave it their all. Lacy Eden and Cassie Hall willed them to that win. Stewart was fantastic. They may not win it all, but it won't be...
I think we know for sure at this point that this team is not very good and will not earn a tournament bid without winning the conference tournament, and that is not gonna happen.
In my opinion it's 70% defense, 30% goalie. Hauser gets left out in the wind a lot. The pk can't cover the backside forward. A quick pass goes through the box for a one timer and it's in. He probably saved a few more of those earlier in the season as has been mentioned he doesn't seem to be...
Finley wins it in OT, but that game did not give me a warm feeling. They play that poorly defensively they will get throttled by 70% of the teams in D1 hockey.
Beyond the second half folds under Hastings, the thing that most concerns me is the Stramel situation. He didn't look good with us, and Hastings had him leashed. He went to MSU and has become a beast. What led to that transformation? My concern is that many of the current Badgers look a lot...
I'm going through a similar process. For this fan, NIL has ruined college sports. College sports has become just another version of professional sports with mercenaries traversing the transfer portal. Everyone's a free agent every year. At least in the pros they have a contract over some...
Just where are they getting those 2 wins? They ain't beating Notre Dame playing like this, Ohio State has always been their kryptonite, Michigan will destroy them, and we just saw what Penn State will do to them.
He was coming into the zone along the boards with a Gophers and hip checked him. As they fell his leg got pinned under him and his ankle assumed an odd angle and looked a little floppy to me. He needed two guys to help him with his leg lifted off the ice. I'd be shocked if it's not broken.
Fitzgerald just needs to sit the rest of the game. Nope, nice Mike. He gives up a stupid turnover at his own blue line with a blind pass which leads to a short handed goal and no accountability. Now he commits a stupid penalty. Thanks Fitzgerald for another goal against, 2 tonight so far. He's...
I just don't want to hear Hastings tell me how good the team's dailies were this week again and again only to have them go out and get taken to the woodshed. Posick never fails to say how good they looked in practice, he said it again last night.
Possibilities:
1. They don't translate all that...
I don't know the character of the leadership of the current team, so I'm not knocking any of them. The character demonstrated by the leaders of the team leading up to the '06 championship was there for all to see, and I agree you could see that team being led to success by those players. I'm...
This team plays 90% of the offensive possession time on or near the wall. They have no center ice game. They will not be scoring a lot goals until they can possess and get shots in better scoring areas. The one they got tonight was essentially luck.
Wisconsin hockey: we're good for what ails ya!
