The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Exciting game, fun to watch, HFH felt like the old days.
Krawchuk played an exceptional game. Lang was very strategic with the challenges and it paid off.
If they can keep this up, they will indeed be a "tough out" in the playoffs.
Harvard still had 5 power plays in this game (and went 0-5). Gallant's goal was waived off for goaltender interference. The five-minute major was for cross-checking.
At the end of the game, it looked like fans were throwing things on the ice, especially at the Colgate players. Anyone know for sure? It was tough to tell for sure from the camera angles on the live stream and the refs seemed oblivious.
This is interesting. The other half of this road trip - Canton - has been a house of horrors over the years. Winless in our last three trips there. Break the streak!
Frustrating game. Dominated face-offs and opportunities were there, especially in the first and second periods. Play in those periods was sound and well-disciplined. Offense just could not find the back of the net and UVM played lock- down D once they scored. Offense is a little snake-bitten...
I was at the game last night and couldn't help but notice tons of empty seats on the "townie" side. My guess is that's where we've seen the biggest loss in attendance (although it seems far fewer students attend as well) has occurred. Many of the season ticket holders were older fans who'd been...
This is only the second time since 2005-06 that we play Colgate/Cornell on the road prior to the winter break. Nice to see the league finally shaking up the schedule a little bit.
No, but I'd support editing the current thread title to reflect that we all seem to be feeling a bit more optimistic than than we were before Lang was hired. Not sure if the board allows editing a thread title or if the only way is create a new thread. If it's the latter than I think the...
His stats in league play were solid: 21 GP, 11-8-2, 2.51 GAA, .905. His GAA was just below the league median of 2.545 and just above median save percentage of .9025. We could certainly do worse. Giesbrecht also played in 21 games and finished with a 3.36 GAA, .901.
There's no question the D...

men's hockey main webpage still shows Smith as head coach: https://rpiathletics.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey (see quick links on right, although the link doesn't work).
We still have at least one more game to play, so I won't weigh in on the coaching situation until the season is officially over. And neither will the Institute, I suspect.
With the loss to Cornell the other night, we have now lost 20 games for four straight seasons, five of the last six, eight...
