My 2025-26 season postmortem:
Year 3 of the Mike Harder era ended just like Year 2 and Year 1, with Colgate getting swept in the ECAC Quarterfinal round. But unlike the first 2 seasons, Colgate finally earned its first playoff win in the Harder era, due to the team finishing 7th in the regular...
And this year's winner is ... myself, with 84 points!
But this is the first year where the goal differential tiebreaker had to be used to declare a winner. In terms of total correctly picked games, it was a tie between me and sshablak!
Always good to see 2 Colgate fans on top! Thanks for...
Week 14 results: this final week was another very predictable week for the league, with 5 entrants earning double-digit points.
Congratulations to sezeneck who came a Dartmouth OT goal away from a perfect score...
Correct, teams re-seed after the 1st round. Because we're 7th, if we defeat Yale we will NOT travel to Quinnipiac. But the other 3 destinations (Dartmouth, Cornell, Princeton) are still possible.
We finally snap our winless slide emphatically! And we re-claim 7th place and don't have to play RPI in the 1st round! (They're the most dangerous of the bottom 4 this season.)
We're on a 5 game winless slide at the worst possible time. Our last win was the OT win at Cornell. I thought that would have been a springboard for success going into the postseason but it seems the 7-6 regulation loss to Union has really gotten into our heads...
RPI faced quite a bit of administrative headwinds in recent years. They sat out the 2020-21 season because of the Covid-19 pandemic, then in 2021-22 they were still playing home games in front of no fans while all other ECAC schools were allowing fans again. The school got a new president in...

SLU has the tiebreaker over RPI. If the season ended today, we would play SLU (cue the broken record!) while RPI would play Union (a matchup they'd probably prefer).
I didn't watch either of this past weekend's games, opting to watch the Team USA men's hockey games instead (well worth it)...
Yours truly continues to lead the overall contest with 1 week to go.

Right now only 8 players on the roster were recruited after Mike Harder became head coach. 5 of those 8 players are first years. Another 5 players currently on the team came to us via the transfer portal, 4 of them after Harder became the head coach. The other 13 committed to Colgate while...
