    Maybe it's a hot take, but Drew seems very reasonable to me. He is pessimistic but generally provides his logic. I've never gotten the sense he was actively rooting against the team either, even if he doesn't expect to win.

    Maine is #14 in the USCHO poll. The teams immediately above them: UCONN, BC, Northeastern. So the media still has us with the top tier of Hockey East. UNH somehow isn't ranked.

    I'm happy for him. I think he transfers again this offseason and does a grad year in the Big10. Pro contracts are hard to find in the AHA. EDIT: This assumes the NCAA loses the 5-year/4-season rule case

    I agree coming back multiple times is a good sign, but don't let the result cover the symptoms. The play right now just isn't at the level it should be. Hopefully the winter break hits the reset button.

    Unfortunately I agree. Maine has already lost as many home games as they did all of last season though. The recipe for this team to climb up the NPI rankings is sweeping at home and at least splitting on the road.
