The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Unfortunately, unless we see some upsets come playoff time I don’t see how Salve doesn’t get in. They have been fluctuating between that 8-10 spot without playing a game.
Its moreso to do with how poor the SUNY is this year. After Hobart/Oswego there isn’t another SUNY team in the top 45. Utica doesn’t have any marquee wins either outside of Oswego.
Its a 1 bid league as of now. Babson is on the outside looking in if they don’t win the conference. Norwich is not even in the picture for an at large.
They are beatable and I don’t think this team is as good as the previous 3. They haven’t played anyone outside Utica and Oswego. That being said they have dismantled everyone this season amd are undoubtedly the favorites. 17/20 games have been won by 2+ goals and they have outshot everyone by 10+.
What was he inaccurate about? It's not hard to fill a < 2,000-seat arena with a home team in the field Has there ever been a sellout in a 4,000-seat arena for the final 4? I think that was his point.
I know you weren't there so it might have slipped by you. Just last year tickets were nearly impossible to get at the Nexus Center. After Utica beat Curry, tickets to the final were sold out in less than a minute.
The boat racing doesn’t happen if the lower quality teams don’t make the tournament to begin with. Hamilton doesn’t boat race a Babson or Curry, they boat race a Neumann or Westfield St. That’s my point.
Starting to look like Salve is positioning themselves well for an at large. They likely win out and finish 18-2. On top of the MASCAC and MAC getting autobids, both winners wont be higher than 25-30 in the NPI, you let a team with 1 good win and a bottom 5 SOS in the country in. Leaving some...
Out of your 20 posts, this is primarily the only thread you post in. Typical Oswego mentality, grasping at straws when they have nowhere else to go. Lose a game, yeah but their coach’s comments!!!!
But they do, largely due to their community involvement. Maybe more teams should try it. And that clown show of a transfer portal that can’t play higher than 500 hockey just beat you. I’ve never seen so much whining around here.
If you really think his comment was a dig at charity then your mind was already made up about him. This team has probably done more charity work and been out in the community 10x the amount Oswego has. Also a reason why the rink isn’t empty when the #1 team in the country comes to town.
