The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
more jumping jacks!
Look, TheDumbCat, it’s clear to all you have no sources. You had no idea UNH didn’t face a paid full time third assistant. Thats why pretty well known info for insiders.
It’s fascinating that so many people now aspire to be Merrimack hockey, which isn’t a national program. UNH hockey is equivalent to UVM and Merrimack - a bottom feeder program in a tough conference.
McMahons story was about UNH the program more than Mike Souza the coach. I sincerely doubt...
I think McMahons point is pretty clear. Souza is not the problem. He also likely isn’t part of the solution. But focusing on Souza distracts from the real problem - UNHs lack of institutional support.
The solution? Increase institutional support to mid HE levels, create a dynamic booster...
If UNH was a private business the Whitt would be used much more intelligently. The hoop team would be better funded, play its games in the Whitt with an eye on copying UVM hoop.
Love The Hangover reference! Merrimack as a program does the occasional dead cat bounce. Could Borek have done that...
What leads you to believe UNH thinks there’s a problem in need of fixing? I’m quite serious. Dollar for dollar, UNH is getting precisely what it is paying for with the hockey program. The players are good citizens and perform well in the classroom. Souza is a good man etc..
I really would...
Lots of interesting comments on here about Mikes column on Souza/UNH. Btw, my favorite is Elwood a/k/a JB’s theory that it’s the beginning of a soon to be broad based yet subtle PR campaign to get Souza a new contract. lol.
McMahon literally can get any HE coach or administrator on the tele or...
You need to re-read Buford's post. It was by in large personal take down of Souza. You unwillingness to note that suggests a tacit approval of Buford's conduct.
Buford and his game of knuckleheads (Norbert a/k/a Meathead, Emily the Flunky, The Dumb Cat and Elwood a/k/a JB really are fools. They think UNH hockey is theirs and all others are know nothings. It's humorous and pretty sick. They've got no idea how little respect that coaches and players...
A classless rant from the bowl hair cut, single tooth Hillbilly! Gooooooooo, Buford!
Those out there who are civilized, don't attend family reunions looking for sexual conquests, eat with utensils, and can chew instead of suck on solid foods, unlike Buford, recognize how sick Buford really...
Without re-litigating this, NH has no income tax. The taxpayers really couldn't be doing less. In any event, I respect that's for the voters. But it also fully explains what is going on at UNH. There really shouldn't be complaining about the quality of a hockey program at a state school the...
I do appreciate this post. I'll just let you in on a little history. My history of posting started very thoughtfully. But I quickly noticed a few posters that sort of treated this Board like a lower intelligence 6th grade bully treats a playground. I also noted the complete lack of respect...
Dear Jellsville:
I appreciate you optimistic tone and your dedication to UNH hockey. I can assure you the results on the ice are not satisfactory to the players and coaches.
Your letter asks for my resignation but fails to address the provisions of my contract with UNH. UNH has the right to...
What about writing to the NH politicians that are UNH alums? Raise the issues of UNH's embarrassing admissions rate, continued programs cuts and the demise of the athletic programs. Posts on this site have no meaning. What constructive steps are the NH VOTERS that post here taking? Most...
Wisdom.
The problem is the institution. No money, no urgency, no excellence. No way Souza gets fired because UNH will not pay two coaching salaries. People caught up in the coaching, which Rich probably doesn’t mind, miss what’s important.
If UNH cared (it doesn’t) a full scale examination of...
Creepy indeed. With your professed international business dealings (just back from China!) and college lectures, K street lawyers, beer drinking with former BU and UNH hockey players and alleged all around business acumen. Yes, there's been no shortage of creepy delusional posting on here.
Great find. Good for him. He's clearly very bright and decided to take things in a different direction. That takes courage. Vassar is an excellent school. Good luck to Jack.
The only thing more funny than your attempts to stalk me is the fact you’re completely unsuccessful.
Maryland? Lol!!! Watching you stumble around in the dark is fabulously entertaining.
I really appreciate your posts. I’m a UNH hockey fan - alum that is furious at how NH has traditionally let UNH float along with minimal state support relative to the support at other flagship state schools receive. UNH has been heavily reliant on federal money and Massachusetts out of state...
