The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
If they thought they could have routinely filled a 4,000 seat building they would have built one. Period. Outside of the Union hockey program, the owners sole interest is to attract visitors to the site, so if they thought they could've sold more event seats, THEY WOULD HAVE BUILT THEM! They...
They were pestered, harassed and threatened by the developers dating back to when they developed the site for the casino. At one point I believe they even tried eminent domain. The steel co. owner won in court and isn't going anywhere. (Incredibly successful company BTW.) The site is historic...
CHL doing the hockey equivalent of taking their sore a ## ball and going home....and one of the dumbest things imaginable.....banning NCAA coaches and scouts from receiving passes to their games.

I share your sentiment 100%. I do not believe there is another option, as the ECAC sold its soul to the evil four letter. The non-conference road games of course are the issue for following RPI.
The evil four letter, like all cable channels, is trying to recapture those who have unplugged from cable by selling an all-encompassing streaming platform--- which retails for $29.99 per month. While they are eagerly trying convert their current ESPN+ customers to the new streaming bundle...
The attraction that many players and advisors point to with going the NCAA route is more time for: practice, workouts , treatment, development etc. So it makes sense that he chose the college route over the OHL. In Sez' excellent interview with our new great coach, he cautioned that they'd...
I gave up on expectations a long time ago....LOL. A competitive squad that plays a 200 foot game and is the proverbial "hard to play against" team would be a good start.
As for results and standings, ask me in late January. Ha ha
That's a whole other ball of wax..... you actually want a technology-centric university to employ....technology in its athletics ticekting ?? HA HA Good god man, we'll be lucky if they can make and keep ice !!
Good report Iowa. Inside, the rink certainly bears a strong resemblance to '65. From the brief search I did it was not the same architect. Sasaki did the excellent work in Hamilton and it appears that Labella was architects of record for Mohawk Harbor.
I suspect you are spot on. Part time staff and the logistical challenge of printing thousands (?) of physical tickets.... I've never worried about it as this has been the way its been for a while now. Come the first home game, I'll be there and they WILL let me in. LOL
I honestly don't understand the lack of basic functionality in the sports information dept. You can name literally any other regional school - large or small - and see it done more timely and professionally.
I can only surmise that the funding is not there to staff the department...
Exactly. There isn't any reason to rush anything ....see how their seasons go while you are out beating the bushes for talent. I couldn't help note over the weekend that Merrimack landed to two snipers from the Q including Moncton's leading scorer. Somebody is ponying up the payroll $$$ for...
That is what I was told at the box office. There will be an event (details TBD) that will mirror previous years with players and coaches available to mingle and I'm sure a few words from the coaches....with or without pizza ...ha ha.
NZ has him + for strength and skating - often a struggle for the big guys. He was 7th in team scoring for a good Trail team last year, that included Lemieux, Ziliotto and Matthews. . Much of the art of recruiting is where coaches think a player is on his development curve. A guy with that...
