The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Very true, es
Agree. Especially since the kid is only 17...plenty of time to round out his game and fill out his frame. I think I need to trademark that ! LOL
Several factors weigh in how sites are determined -- including a program willingness and ability to host. In the end, the league makes the call on where games are played. I am sure RPI would prefer a home game, but given it is a holiday weekend, there will be zero students or staff available...
I did see a car in traffic the other day with an SAJ *** vanity plate and wondered if it was from her fleet. A gent was driving....no sign of Ms. Daisy. LOL
I didn't see the Saturday game, as someone decided to move all of the fall semester Sat. games to 4PM...after how many decades of 7PM puck drops? 4PM isn't an option for me.... Had I known this, I probably would've given up my season tickets. Another insult thrown on the ever-expanding pile...
Many of the ECAC rinks sell beer and shockingly, actually let you take it to your seat, unlike RPI where you have to stay in beer "jail" to drink it. Why they aren't able to treat fans like adults is beyond me...
Well, the team up in Glens Falls would likely disagree. Despite losing their AHL franchise and then landing an ECHL team, they've marketed, promoted and ground out an amazingly vibrant franchise that sells out nearly every home game. They have a building that fits the league they are in...
Having reviewed the comments on attendance, I need to remind folks that this is not an RPI centric issue. Certainly the prior regime led us to the depths we're at now, both on the ice and off, but times have changed. Union's new barn was only about 3/4 full for the "crosstown rivalry" game...
I missed it, but over on the CHL to NCAA thread they linked stories involving the USHL joining the CHL as the 4th Major Junior league including trademark applications for:
"National Junior Hockey League and NHJL".
I don't have any problem with players being held accountable. Pretty sure I was clear on that. What I thought he went too far on was saying we need better players..etc.
The entire world knows this of course, but when you announce this to your team, and the press and the fans following your...
I don't disagree, but thought maybe it was more dire then it needed to be. But he's been at this a while and we're up in the stands....time will tell !
