    2026 Winter Olympics

Hey, I like to shoot pucks at the net in the basement. I even cut out a plywood goalie so I'd have rebounds. I really enjoy playing goalie. My sons played for a few years until it became a hockey became a lower priority financially and scholastically. I even own skates. Once I fell walking...

    2026 Winter Olympics

So it's the big one! USA versus Canada! Who gets gold? To me all the pressure is on Canada. They've been sucking and their country lives for this. Can they win from the underdog position, or does that just sap their will? The US hasn't played from behind at all. How are they going to play if...

4 years of coaching high schoolers and 2 years of coaching men. It's not a very deep resume. With a roster like he has of one of us could probably do enough "coaching" to get them to the gold medal game LOL.

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

The lads control their own destiny. Win and they are in. Neither of these 2 upcoming teams are obsessed with playing defense, they can be had. Let's go RED!

Who is this guy, how did he get such an important job? I read his resume and it's really a nothing burger.

I really don't think the amount of mentions you get in the broadcasts means anything. Any young ladies who want to play college hockey know who the big teams are and know who they'd like to play for. Yes, the casual fan is being educated on who the big teams are in college hockey and yes, it's...

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

He said the centers were helping the d too much creating coverage issues and the Hauser's been injured for a long time but it's not a structural thing, which means long term he'll be ok.

He said a lot of interesting things, everyone should watch.

Certainly in the cut-throat nature of recruiting some schools have used Frosty's contract status against him. MJ doesn't have to, but the rest probably do, including the eastern teams.

I can agree with your goalie assessment. Pulver seems to have digressed from his BCHL days. Hauser seemed to be on the right trajectory based on his last season in the WHL. It's concerning that goaltenders don't seem to be developing. I'm loving this Fr class. Can they retain them?

Maybe it was like this last year, but 15 bucks for WCHA playoff tickets plus a $7 fee is up there. But when you're an addict, you'll pay whatever the price is to get your jam, as long as the uniforms are not black LOL.

I think Clark and Nurse are continuing their Wisconsin heritage of looking great on paper and against cupcakes but not producing anything on the ice when it really counts. Maybe Nurses is still hurt, I don't know.

Watt?? ??????? What??????? Sure thy jest! I too believe that the pwhl could expand by two more teams. There is plenty of talent out there. Let's get some more of these ladies employed playing the game they love. Probably the only way to attempt to deal with the talent disparity between...

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

McIntosh does not care about men's hockey at all financially. All he cares about is financing his beloved football team's comeback. His legacy depends on it. What I would hope is that some hockey alums can put together some sort of funds to pay some talent. If McIntosh isn't going to do it...

Whatever he's doing at WI is clearly not working. Obviously a different goalie coach for 1 thing. Other than McKay, how was your goaltending during his time there?

Too much condensed into a short window. I focus on hockey, curling, long track speed skating, bobsled and downhill skiing and it's juts too much even for just those 10 for both genders.

There's a monobob now!? Sure why not. They should do an event where they take one ride with each 1 2 and 4 and the lowest combined total wins. Really make it a team effort.

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

Badgers destroyed Mankato in the Face-Off circle. Hall was 75% Picard and Scannell were 67. This is however a very disturbing trend that they get killed in game one face-offs and they completely reverse it in game two. There'll be no such opportunities in the NCAA tournament for faceoff...

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

I think they won every face off the last 3 plus minutes after they pulled Pulver. I don't think they generated any dangerous opportunities during that time. Sad and frustrating. Pulver played 3 years in the bchl, had .909, .930 and .924 save percentages. He had 9 shutouts over the last 2...

I skipped the whole first and second today. I only got a chance to watch the third actually. Badger recruit Kimbrel is a finalist for The Miz Minnesota hockey award.
