The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Boija earned the right to try to figure things out. He hasn’t been able to figure it out. Time to see what Rousseau can do with a few starts. I thought Coughlin also had a bad game even with limited ice time. Maine dominated faceoffs, had 10 more shots on net and still got blown out. Embarrassing.
Barr did something that Timmay/Red never did and brought a first round pick to Orono. On paper this is the most talented team Maine has had in well over a decade. There’s what, 12 or 13 new players on the team this year? Of course they’re having a slow start.
People crying three weeks into the...
NHl Central Scouting list is out. Sokolovskii has a C grade, Poul Anderson and Dylan Dean get W grades.

According to Mike Mcmahon's newsletter the NCAA has a formula they don't share with anyone that calculates what reasonable living and training expenses are based upon the market. Each year at 21 or above playing organized hockey counts as a year of NCAA eligibility so guys can't retire from the...
I agree on Sokolovsky, he's a little raw but he has all the tools to be a great player. He's much closer to a David Breazeale than Keenan Suthers mobility-wise and he's not afraid to use his size. I was also impressed with #18 for London who was another large, mobile defenseman.
The QMJHL season is starting and Moncton vs Newfoundland is being streamed for free right now. Kuzma Vronin is playing on the first line and the new recruit Spencer Thornborough is on the third for Moncton. Mikus Vecvanags is in net for Newfoundland.
I'm not sure how much higher demand can be when tickets are essentially sold out in 15 minutes. Maine will never be able to keep up with the Big10 moneywise, but I'm all for creative ways to try to raise as much money as possible.
Under Gendron Minnesota Duluth and Quinnipiac were the only high profile teams to come to the Alfond. Maine was scheduling home and homes with Princeton. I'm sure they'll get it evened out next year but if one year of no high profile OOC weekends was the cost to get Denver to Orono last year I...
The tweet announcing his commitment says a 2026 arrival is the current plan. I imagine that could change if he’s drafted by a team that wants him in college though.

Looks like the narrative that Barr can't get talented forwards is over. This is easily the best on paper recruiting class at Maine I've been around for. I'm sure some of the older guys can comment on how this stacks up to some of the best Walsh teams.
I just saw Alexandre Blais commit to UConn so I decided to check on Miguel Marquez. He has unfollowed UConn, and now follows Maine and Blackbearnation.
