The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Denver in the tournament has always been an issue. Yet...WMU beat them a few times and they're not last years DU at all.
BC seemed weirdly "un-BC" in both games (and the HEA loss too). Not sure what's going on there but that was NOT the team that manhandled us twice and then for a period...
Yeah. The talent on this team has been frozen four worthy. But the team of this team has been shaky. Far from dominance but this was two in a row where they didn’t just blow up. So off to St. Louis they go.
I don't think that'd work. The ONLY reason ESPN even shows hockey and some of the other NCAA sports is because the Football deal requires them to. Until very recently, ESPN bemoaned having to show EVERY GAME of the women's basketball tournament in order to get the football deal from the NCAA...
Ok so I was catching what I could of the game as I was traveling from DC to Worcester for a conference. I'm sitting there in Logan watching that crazy second period and thinking "Dang the good BU and bad BU showed up TOGETHER. This is weird." The folks I was meeting arrived so we made our...
I watched the NU Maine game with a Maine friend and dang that was seat of the pants madness. 61 shots on goal to get just 4 past Whitehead. Before the first 3 min of the second OT, Maine had peppered 5 shots in despite being tired on their legs and Whitehead stopped all 5.
THAT'S how a team...
I'm of a mind they could be blown off the ice by anyone in the field and they could handle anyone in the field if they play their game. This really is an either/or team.
That said, if they're a 2 seed, I'd not want to see Qpac. Umass is also peaking, and dangerous but we'd not see them in a...
Yah that’s what I’m seeing too. Both BU and Maine can get 1s if the NCHC gets shaken up and BU wins out. Otherwise we’re a two. Weirdly I can land Maine in 3 or 5 as much as 4.
When it was close after one, i figured we'd have a fair shot at it. UMass beat up Maine big time last week, they're a good team and will be dangerous to someone in the first round of the NCAA. They're peaking at the right time.
NU is shocking everyone right now
I think we’ll know if we have a chance lot not after the 1st period. If we’re ahead or close it’s entirely doable. If they’ve racked up goals, we’re toast.
Either outcome seems plausible
This team is 100% about 'which team shows up'. Of late, the good BU has shown up more and finally is showing more 'crush it' when they win. Let's hope the 'bad BU' that comes out slow in the first period and folds like a deck of cards doesn't rear its head though.
