The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I remember both 2002 and, to a lesser extent, 2014 too well to ever write Canada off when it seems like they are done. Yes, they look similar to the US of 2006 right now, but if they suddenly get better goaltending, a lot can change. The US has had the advantage in net this year, and that allows...
While I understand the angst involved with Edwards playing D for Badger fans, having seen her at the Olympics, I think that the potential that she shows on the blue line is too large to simply write off. How does an opponent attempt to match up against her when she's playing D? Physically, she...
While I'm sure UW's "couple" is likely better, we saw last weekend who had more left after we got done pruning. As for your fear, it's likely well founded. If I had to pick one person to win the '27 Kaz', I'd have a tough time betting against Ms. Dunne.
Not exactly. I was more asking the question of the fanbase that knows your #1 goalie better. IMO, the latter has already allowed more goals versus UM in her career that I was surprised lit the lamp than most of her predecessors. Given she made the Olympic roster, I'll admit that I must be...
No you wouldn't. You'd make a point out of complaining about the black sweaters, right up there with not being able to park in your favorite lot or tickets not going on sale when they're supposed to be offered. Those injustices aside, you'll continue to show up as long as they're the best...
When you graduate five of your top seven producers, it always figures to be a challenge the next year. The problem is compounded when they have been chasing two programs in recent seasons in terms of talent, and it doesn't feel like they're gaining. Over her time in Columbus, Muzzy has seemed to...
The flip side to that on Friday is that with the exception of a one-minute stretch, the Badgers were in that mode where they totally dominate the flow of play but they don't change the scoreboard at all. Whenever they play a game like that, I get a mental image of Sarah Nurse sniping the...
Is BC's program decently funded these days? Maybe it is, but they were one of the few programs with only one paid assistant when just about every other program had two. I'm not going to assume that they are the UW of the East any time soon.
People who can contribute offensively at the PWHL level are still at a premium, particularly if they also bring size. The women's hockey world is enamored with players on the blue line who can score, and they seem to be willing to put up with defensive deficiencies to get that pop. One thing...
But UMD won't be full, as they lose two Swedes (top goal scorer up front and one of their top D). Not the hit that tOSU takes, though, and it's likely also to UMD's advantage that they are accustomed to playing games where little happens.
UMD games are difficult to predict because there is so little scoring. The 'Dogs are only scoring an average of 1.5 goals through 8 games in January. Half of those games went to OT, so I guess saying they won't get swept is a good bet.
