The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.

Nice comeback win on home ice, let's hope they can get a win again today!
Phil looking pretty sharp each game since being pulled during the St. Thomas weekend. I didn't realize just how good his numbers have been in that stretch. While his GAA took a hit with the Michigan games plus being...
Whether or not Muldowney is out for UConn, I expect some trouble tonight with it being back to back games. Hey, at least they went a game without giving up a SHG. Progress!
Throughout his four years he's always struggled stopping breakaways. Most of these scenarios a result of poor defensive alignment, bad puck luck, to end up on an opponent's stick. I hoped Parsons would get a little more game time than just this last game. I thought the splits for starts would be...
Kivioja is reminding me a good bit like Acciari. Seeing significant improvements in his game from last year after just a few games this season. Not to be mistaken for an 80 point scorer but he's having an impact he didn't last year.
Interesting connection per Divver, to McQueen choosing PC: friends with Malinoski and teammates with Mantei. Smart recruiting and makes an easy selling point for players.
As requested, PK is opening the thread for the new season. May as well get going with it and update when/if the McQueen news is officially official.
What are the expectations this year? Will we miss Yoder and Poisson after what felt like a decade playing for the home team?
Out from last...
I'm so out of it I thought THIS was the new season thread. On a closing note then, rumors are that Roger McQueen is Friartown bound. It can't hurt - the team, or his success, to play against older players with NCAA.
Just a personal update on things: no news on a kidney donor, getting set up to start dialysis November/December. I expect my in-person participation to be a bit reduced, unless I can manage treatment days off on game days! If that is rejected, second half tickets may be available. I'll update...
The Sisson and Coombs moves are smart to give them playing time they may not have gotten with PC this coming season. I don't think another year before campus hurts either guy. PC might lose Malinoski, Gamache or Adams after the new season, so it opens spots.
Feels like the USHL is the one league with the most to lose here. Yes, CHL players coming to play for a US college team is happening, and that's a good point about players waiting until being drafted (or not) by NHL teams. If you're 18, drafted and not gonna jump to the NHL, playing against many...
It'll be interesting to see how the additions work with the subtractions that came. Yoder wasn't nearly as effective in year 5 as he was year 4, Connelly missed about half the season. Maybe with the focus of opposing teams OFF of Connelly, the whole of the roster can thrive. I don't mean that as...
So it appears PC's roster for next season might be set. Another CHL player incoming to fill out the defense.
Looks like PC retained 3 (Machu, Centrella and Bales) on D. I'm seeing as many as 7 might come in. I read either Ryan White or Owen Thomas were either backing off arriving for a year or...
Thank you, appreciate the good words. I had hopes I'd already be through it and in recovery by now but, like the saying goes, "it is what it is". I'm amused I'm more concerned about missing Friars games than when I will know my donor. Did anybody happen to get to the recent curling tournament...
I suppose this is the best place to ask, but I'm getting into a health situation where my 25-26 tickets (2 seats) could become available, due to restrictions on what I can do. I've already paid for next season's tickets, wishful thinking being able to attend all games. Would anybody have...
A transfer from Alaska (the good team), another from USports Canadian hockey. I like the additions thus far. Happy for May if he felt he found a better fit, will cheer for him except when his team plays PC. A little shift in recruiting with utilizing the CHL being available to NCAA teams. Looks...
I haven't seen anything on Svedeback. With Boston holding his rights and their goalies that the AHL and ECHL teams are carrying, there doesn't seem to be any room for him this year other than to sit and learn. Or, return to PC for a fourth year which I hope that he does.
That's pretty wild that if May doesn't decide to stay, that leaves Svedeback as the lone senior. I don't know if anybody can answer if there's been a time for Senior Night that there were 1 or 0 seniors celebrated?
I was just coming by to update. So far next year's d-core looks to be eight? Donovan McCoy from the CHL, Machu, Centrella, and a few recruits. I overlooked the leading scorer from the QMJHL arriving in the fall. Overage for juniors but can't hurt to add a body that could be an immediate...
Connelly signs with Vegas. Would've liked to see him stay a second year, put on some weight/muscle, play a more injury-free college season but think a high profile recruit like that benefits Providence for the future. It may not be perceived as a top destination in division 1, but it's a steady...
Tough call on who the captains would be. Judging by the current roster I'd have to think Malinoski would be one of them, maybe Tanner as well. Gamache? Not a lot to work with, as May would be the only current junior besides Svedeback, going into senior year if they stay. I think Centrella...
