The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Seawolves are 3-11 heading into the break. The three wins are coming against Denver, Bentley, and Stonehill. It would be nice to get at least another 3 wins by the end of the season, but I am not holding my breath.
Other notes: there was a surprise BOGO coupon code for the the Governors Cup...
It was cool to see Bryce Strand score his first collegiate goal! Alex Tracy currently has a 1.777 GAA and 0.936% Save Percentage. He is currently second in saves with 424, only behind Michigans' Jack Ivankovic by 4 (428).
Following a series split over Bentley last weekend and a win over Stonehill last night the Seawolves are 3-6. Tonight they play Brown. The Seawolves are starting to play with a little momentum after the upset over Denver a few weeks ago.
Seawolves drop to 0-4 following two losses to St Cloud. In both games the Seawolves were down after the first period, and didn't really show any signs of life. Next week they travel to Denver to play the 3-2-1 Pioneers. The schedule gets mildly easier following this series when the Seawolves...
UAA starts the season 0-2 following a sweep by Bemidji. We lost 2-9 in game 1, and 0-5 in game 2.
Its tough to watch when the seawolves are playing from behind. I was hoping we would at split the series, but we couldn't get any offense going.
Goalie Bryant Marks looked okay. The seawolves...

Of note is the stretch of away games from October 24-November23
Additionally the Seawolves play the Nanooks 8 times this year, which is two times more than last year.
Seawolves also pick up Dominic Foglia from Colgate. Had 1 pt in 16 games last season.
Waiting for the full schedule release. So far we have one home series scheduled against Bemidji State, and then a bunch of away games including Denver, Brown, St Cloud State, Bentley and Holy Cross.
Not UAA related- rather Independent news. Stonehill announces $15 million donation for a new basketball and ice arena.

Thanks for that update. I tried to find the meeting minutes to see if there was any additional discussion, all I found was the motion to approve the explore a private/public partnership. Like you said, it doesnt mean anything will happen, but its a step in the right direction.
"The Facilities...
I agree, it was a big swing & miss when they didn't put ice in the Alaska Airlines Center. I read the AAC is too small to put in ice in now, since it was designed for basketball/volleyball.
Independents announce they will be playing for the United Collegiate Hockey Cup March 5-7, 2025. I think this will provide some exposure and a reason to play at the end of the season. Additionally, Gunnar VanDamme transfers to RPI.
