The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Isn't Maui one of the OG tournaments? That one’s always been a draw.
Atlantis definitely took from the others though. ESPN creating their own tournaments didn’t help, but Atlantis was the first one I remember coming in and immediately throwing money around to get top teams.
The Players Era one...
Interesting how regional the sport used to be and even in recent times how it can stay in pockets. MSU only held it in 2018, despite that being the tail end of their recent run of success. Their powerhouse days were in the 50s and 60s and it never left the southeast.
Maybe Marcello blends in so well I don’t notice him in other sketches, but I’ve thought he was a one trick pony. It seems like he gets rolled out only to yell with an accent. And I’ll never figure out how Domingo became the biggest character in that sketch, he doesn’t do anything in it...
Mercyhurst and NMU put up two more winless weekends. 0-13 and 0-14.
Dartmouth decided the late start wasn't enough time off and had a bye this week, so they're still undefeated at 6-0.
MSU with a couple tough losses to Wisconsin. Dominated the first on Friday to go up 2-0, then didn't show up...
There have been some good ones. Stefon, Drunk Uncle, but other times they’ll have a random throwaway like Man Looking for Chapstick in a Corner Store (not a real character) and I just wonder how it ever passed as good enough in the pitch meeting.
I've never been a fan of the "guests" on Weekend Update. Coincidental or not, I thought this weekend's without any guests was the strongest in a long, long time. Just straight jokes for five minutes. Though the news of the week may have helped play into that.
Darmouth stays undefeated, now 6-0. Mercyhurst and NMU were on bye so they're still winless.
Big Ten has a three way tie for first, though MSU has played two fewer games. Big series of Wisconsin vs MSU this week.
Judge was better on more of the analytics, but agreed, what Raleigh did as a catcher should have given him the bump. Plus if Dingler hadn't also had a perfect season for Detroit, Raleigh would've had a Gold Glove as well. Incredible season and 0/2 on awards.
Wisconsin splits with Michigan this weekend, so they're off the board.
Bringing the Ivies on now that they've had a couple weekends. Only Dartmouth is perfect at 4-0.
Mercyhurst and NMU put up two more losses. Now 0-11 and 0-12.
It was on the MSNBC ticker early before polls closed. Maybe they could’ve flipped Youngkin’s numbers by accident. I didn’t know VA didn’t allow consecutive terms. Thought he bowed out because he didn’t like his chances.
Threw on Austin Powers last night. It was disappointing and scary to realize we’re two years away from the same amount of time he was frozen being the same time between the movie being made and the present.
Discounting the Ivies because they just started this weekend, there is only one undefeated team remaining in Wisconsin at 6-0-2 and two winless teams with Mercyhurst at 0-9 and NMU at 0-10.
Wild how many things fell just right for the Dodgers the last couple nights. Ball gets lodged in a pad, catcher's cleat comes down on the plate just before the runner makes it, and outfielders collide and still catch the ball.
