The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Just called the box office. The team schedule says tomorrow’s home game vs Sacred Heart is at 5 PM. Tickets say 6 PM. I left a message for them to call me back with the correct time. Want this ship to get on track? Getting the game time straight might be a good starting point here.
Heard from a very reputable source that the floor and the refrigeration system as well as the boards and glass will be replaced next summer as “Phase 1” of the rehab of the HFH.
Attended both games. I thought they skated hard and displayed all the attributes I look for (team spirit, support for each other, hard work, and perseverance. Despite the two losses I enjoyed watching them play. I don’t see them winning too many games. Mainly because they suffer from the same...
Not yet. The last few years there was a pizza party and meet and greet with both the men’s and women’s teams. Haven’t heard a word on if that will happen this year.
Well…..the roster is set. The schedule is on my phone calendar. I am looking forward to watching what this team can do. No matter what happens, I’ll be there.
That would be a sad state of support for RPI women’s hockey. That if people had to pay to get in that people would not waste their time. I am not suggesting at all the cost be what it is for the men. Nor do I think the group homes that bring their residents to the games nor the school kids that...
It’s 86 degrees and becoming more humid and smoke is in the air. The rising sun was absolutely stunning this morning.
All that being said. I don’t care who is in the uniform or how they got here. I am ready for some hockey.
I got my men’s season ticket application. In previous years a free pass to women’s games was included but no mention this year. So I am not sure what to expect. I do not feel the games should be free. My plan this year is to make a donation to the team if admission is free.
Well when you decide it’s time and since we are undoubtedly going to have to be patient with the process, here is my title suggestion: RPI Men’s Hockey 2025-26. Lang In There.
Questions : we are nearing the end of the portal window. Women’s ends on Tuesday. An awful lot of players have not signed on anywhere. Especially on the women’s side. Based on the past, albeit only a couple of years, what happens to non committed players? Go back to their school of origin , if...
Both Sullivan and Payant entered after Lang was hired. I have to wonder if they didn’t like what they heard from him or there was another reason they waited this long to enter the portal.
I have talked with a few people about the need for HFH renovations. And the one thing every one of them mentioned they want to see is handrails to go up to their seats. I have no idea if that is feasible or what the impact would be (e.g. would rails impact the view ) but I know I’m not getting...
I just checked the transfer portal. Looks like about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the mens players on the portal have committed to new schools. But only like 1 player on the women’s side has. Why is that the case? The women’s portal closes earlier than the men’s from what I see.
Secondly Payant has...
Greetings from the frozen four. Every single person I have talked to says Lang will do wonders for the RPI program. I always look at things in the context of what I see on the ice. I don’t care how many stars we have on the team. If they can play like Western Michigan did last night: aggressive...
