The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
BSU has only played two games this year and lost both to UND. I assume that BSU has not played more games because of an oddly timed bye and the new arena. BSU is looking for their first win of the year and first WCHA win. BSU has always played UMD tough. Not exactly sure on what their record...
UMD is fresh off a sweep of Providence College and their best game of the year (a 7-1 win on Saturday). UAA is coming off two losses in the Alaska Goal Rush. I haven't heard much to cheer about this year for UAA.
Few questions for UAA fans:
What is the goal-tending situation? I thought I...
UMD is coming off a disappointing 6-6 tie against LSSU and a solid victory against NMU in the Superior Showcase.
This week they host PC in non-conference action.
I believe the teams have met in previous NCAA tournaments. (in the 80s?)
Also I have heard that PC is notoriously bad. But based...
No thread really?
UND has been hot and swept UMD in Feb. UND took 3 out of 4 on the season but allegedly should have swept the season series. I guess that's why you wait until you hear the whistle.
Go.
UND is coming off a split where they finally scored some power play goals. By some I mean five in game.
tUMD has been inconsistent the last 3 weeks. Swept by BSU, a good split with Wisconsin and a disappointing split with Michigan Tech.
So yeah. Go :)
Biddco is happy for third person talk.
Biddco wonders how Techies will spend their weekend in Duluth.
Biddco wonders how he can make this weekend more of a headache for Yager :D
The Bulldogs make their first road trip outside of Minnesota, to face a CC team that is playing better than expected.
Game will have 7 of the top 15 goal scorers in the WCHA.
Last year UMD went undefeated against CC, hope that continues this year!
UMD comes off a disappointing one point weekend at SCCC, hoping to rebound against a non-conference opponent Clarkson University.
Should be a good series as Clarkson has had a nice tradition and history in the NCAA tournament. (I looked it up!)
Any Clarkson fans that can give us the rundown...
tUMD is coming off a sweep of MSUM and St. Cloud tied and won against Union.
I have lived in Minnesota 21 years and I have not been to St. Cloud. And that changes this weekend!
Go DOGS!
