Big weekend here for both teams. This is UMD's first trip to WMU in conference play and Western is looking for their first win against UMD at home. Both teams have been playing well in their last month of play so this should make for some fun hockey.
I would be very happy with a split...
Really don't know what to expect besides that Minnesota-Twin Cities is probably the favorite to win it. Either way the nightcap match up between UMTC and SCSU should be a great one.
Wonder what the crowds and atmosphere will be like?
I'm optimistic this could be a fun tournament once it...
Important series for home ice for both teams. UMD is only two points behind DU and is coming off a sweep of UNO. I'm hoping Crandall continues his hot play and allows the Bulldogs to get more than a split against a DU. Which is a team that always seems to find a way to split with UMD in Duluth.
UMD returns to Omaha after being swept in last years series at the CLink. I am going to presume that the arena is called the "Clink" Because of Hogan's Heroes star Colonel Clink.
Anyway UNO was swept by UNH which has caused some UNO fans on twitter to become down on their disrespected team...
Happy Festivus to all!

I'VE GOT A LOT PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!
Now who is gonna pin for the Feats of Strength!?
Next year my goal is to host a Festivus Party...
Both teams were swept at home the weekend before. UMD is undefeated against WMU in 4 games and they meet for the first time in conference play. Loser with fewest points will be in last place after this series.
tUMD is 3-2-1 and has played better than I expected. They are coming off a split with Notre Dame and now travel to Columbus to take on former Assistant Coach Steve Rohlik (who is said to have the best connections in college hockey).
I see that OSU is 2-2 on the young year and will play Bowling...
Biddco is very happy that the season is finally beginning! But Biddco is sad that this series is now non-conference its continued future is in doubt. Biddco doesn't know if UMD will continue to schedule Tech as UMD has other in-state schools to schedule. Biddco obviously hopes they do because...

You would guess that Gwoz is at the top of their list of candidates.
I'm wondering if posters on here are interested in watching the Frozen Four in April? I'm thinking we could meet up at the Roseville Sensors and watch the games there. Would anybody be interested in this?
My only worry is that watching 6 hours of hockey in a restaurant (on a Thursday too) is a...
UMD is coming in hot, unbeaten in their last 5. Last four games the PP is at 44% and the PK is at 93%. Now it has come against weaker competition but it has got to have built some confidence for a once struggling team.
Since Badger fans hate Eaves so much, yet they placed 4th in the WCHA, they...
UMD is looking for their first conference win since January and hopes to avoid falling further in the standings. UNO is looking to secure home ice and gain better position for the playoffs. I'll be happy if UMD splits or can do better than that. I'd like my team to stay in Minnesota so I can see...
I was in St. Cloud last night and they had a throwback night and jersey auction. MTU won 5-2 and made the jerseys one to forget.
UMD has had a couple jerseys they would like to forget. They wore the infamous "Duluth" jersey at their Amsoil Arena Opener. They lost that game 5-0 against UND. UMD...
Brett Farve was the Viking Quarterback as well. Oh and UMD and MSUM have played eight times in that same span of time.
Over under is set at three for:
Number of tUMD goals.
Number of Kyle Rau dives.
PIM's for Derick Johnson.
Number of Gopher fans at Mariucci who tell me we suck and I agree...
MSU is coming off a bye weekend and UMD is coming off being swept by DU in choketastic fashion. Once again UMD has a series that can help them achieve home ice (especially since MSU is ahead of them in the standings).
Just based on what I've seen from MSU and UMD this year...I'd say MSU will...
UMD comes into Colorado Springs after a sweep of Michigan Tech while CC had a much needed split in Grand Forks.
Hopefully UMD comes out of there with at least a split...a sweep is possible.
Two teams who had very opposite weekends. UMD was shut out by a then two win Maine team and then killed by Ferris State 6-2. Tough to win a weekend of hockey when you only score two goals. Tech had a disappointing first half, Biddy thought they would be higher in the standings at this point, but...
