Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

Steve Rohlik is a hell of a coach. If he was in Grand Forks or Denver he’d be winning national titles.

tOSU did a great job clogging lanes. At times it looked like they had 4 defensemen out there. Flush this one and destroy the fuckeyes tomorrow!

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

Agreed. I would think there’s enough footage of Phil over the years from PBS rebroadcasts, b10+ and footage taken by UW staff that they could put a great montage together. Also…I would LOVE it if they would take the seat Phil sat in at the KC and make it a permanent empty seat as a memorial to...

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

Yes! It was a hell of a game. I was there that weekend. Spencer, Tok, Strobel, Carter. That was sort of the last hurrah before they slid back due to bad recruiting. But the crowd was amazing. And UW gave Michigan all they could handle.

Agree on all of this. I have to say Michigan has surpassed the rodents as the team I hate the most as well. And here’s a fun blast from the last of Wisconsin roughing up weasels: https://youtu.be/3lLX8zS8Xco?si=vo5pAnhVk8gjiHcp

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

What a great response from Wisconsin! Michigan imo has always played on the edge and sometimes dirty going all the way back to Red Berenson in the 90’s. Total pricks. Did Naurato play for Berenson?? If not, Schock and Horcoff’s dad’s played for Berenson. Anyway, fuck Michigan. UW played very...

Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

Horcoff made a fool out about 2-3 badgers on the game winner and Hauser let in a bad goal there imo. Ugh

https://youtu.be/bTlXZf5qsZI?si=4UGzAnYi7PP1UbwJ Great series. Montgomery is awesome. He’s a big guy but for some reason I kept thinking of Paul Kariya. A freshman who became dominant. Montgomery could be that guy by season’s end.

RIP Phil Dzick. Another link to the glory years gone… You could count (yeah yeah) on him being there to rev up the crowd at the DCC and later the Kohl Center. Terrible loss for the old school Badger Hockey fans.

USCHO Music: From Queen to The Beatles to Lady Gaga

My old band opened for The White Stripes in about 1998 or 1999 at Cactus a club in Milwaukee. I didn’t interact with either Jack or Meg that night but can tell you this…Milwaukee was the first city The White Stripes ever played outside Michigan and Jack retains a soft spot for our town. On at...

USCHO Music: From Queen to The Beatles to Lady Gaga

On the flip side…I’ve met Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth drummer), Kev’n Kinney (drivin’ and cryin’), Mates of State, Syl Sylvain, and the rhythm section for Fugazi (in their new band The Messthetics) and Jon Wurster (drums for Bob Mould, Mountain Goats and previously Superchunk) and they were all...

USCHO Music: From Queen to The Beatles to Lady Gaga

I recently heard an author on a podcast discussing Michael Jackson’s later period songs as getting more overtly Political. Guess I’m going to have to dive into those lyrics. Evidently “They Don’t Care About Us” is one of the big ones. I haven’t heard any of his music subsequent to Bad …So this...
