The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Injuries alone cannot explain what we’re witnessing here. Lack of effort seems apparent from multiple guys. Have they tuned Hastings out? If yes, that’s a major problem that cannot be easily fixed.
Just tuned in to see it’s 4-1. No NCAA’s once again. How did Hensley get injured? Blocking a shot?
Women up on #3 rodentsota 6-1 in the 3rd. A pretty incredible beat down considering UW is playing without their starting goalie and 4 other all- world type players
Milewski was asked if Hastings has lost the room
“I don't know if that's it. But the buttons he's pushing don't seem to be changing things.”
I think it’s fair right now to question Hastings. People jumped on me for it last season but c’mon. Is he in over his head? When do we get to question...
It’s odd. First year was good until the upper classmen decided to stop buying in.
you’d like to see a trajectory but I’m not sure I see one with this team. In year 3 with Eaves you saw the team was well on its way towards prominence. Now? I have no idea where this team is headed.
Looking like a complete collapse. They very seriously miss Zelenov as a playmaker and Schulz as a defensive dman, but jesus the goalies are horrific.
How many times do unexpected shots go in? Far too many times to compete for first or second place.
This may be the point where rodentsota turns...
I really like Hasting’s comments and attitude in the presser.
He also said 3 of the injured players are skating, must be Brink, Morrisey and Zelenov. Hopefully that means they can play this weekend. That would be a tremendous boost to the team.
If Wisconsin has Brink, Morrisey and Zelenov back they’ll bury these pricks in happy valley.
But the cheap shots from PSU wouldn’t happen if UW had a McDonagh or Burish out there because those guys would lay down the law.
Yes! Something changed when Schulz went down
Thanks! I saw on fb some of the scrum at the end with PSU players banging the glass at badger fans and pointing to the scoreboard.
I absolutely despise Ped State. Gadowsky is a classless pos and his team is also classless.
Any thoughts on Hastings and staff not shaking hands with Ped state coaches?
Since I was unable to watch the game I didn’t see or hear anything that would provide context.
The 2006 team being there you would think would spark guys. That was a special group. I recall when the entire freshman...
Morrisey, Brink and Zelenov still out
EDIT: Morrisey and Zelenov out for an extended period of time (possibly for the season?) and no real word on Brink. Schulz out for the season.
This doesn’t bode well.
At this point I’ll reduce expectations to
Just getting to 18-19 wins being good...
Several issues…
No doubt the injuries are huge. I noticed earlier this team just hasn’t played with the same intensity since Schulz went down. His loss I think is bigger than many have acknowledged. He’s not a scorer but a very solid dman and glue guy.
Then they lose Zelenov (who is an elite...
