From the NCAA rulebook, the net being dislodged should not have been the disqualifying factor as the puck was in motion toward the net before that happened. Goal Cage Dislodged - In the event that the goal post is displaced, either deliberately or accidentally, by a defending player, prior to...

I am going to make a comment that most will take as incredulous. Ryan Leonard as good as he is, has to at times not just take the puck to the net himself. There was an instance where he came from the side and went straight there but was rebuffed while Hagens was out in front all alone. A goal...

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I thought Manchester would be good for Maine to host as well but after seeing that Manchester has no idea how to make ice that idea makes no sense anymore. Portland has more seats than Scheels arena in Fargo which seems to host often. The problem is that in the east there are arenas with bigger...

It's also possible that they only included UMass as a prime league opponent at Matthews before they tear it down. The other prime league games may be 'road' home games in the 2026 part of the season. BC always includes the BU home game in their ticket renewal request because of the high demand.

    2025-26 Schedules Thread

From the BC ticket office renewal email: The Eagles will host 15 games at Kelley Rink, including matchups against Denver, Notre Dame, Quinnipiac, and BU. Of course, BU is always on the schedule but the other 3 will be home games. A couple less home games for them next year though.

Not 100% sure if these calculations are correct but there are only 5 teams in the tournament with winning records against the field: BC 11-4 Michigan State 9-3-4 UConn 8-5-4 Minnesota 6-4-2 Cornell 2-1-2 The rest: Maine 7-7-4 BU 6-6-2 Bentley 1-1 UMass 6-7-2 Western Michigan 2-3 Denver 2-3...

Don't know much about the bar scene but for food you can get the Man vs. Food BBQ shovel at KC's Rib Shack or try out the nearby Red Arrow Diner.

Minnesota State's goalie is a Hobey top 10, the only goalie on the list. He is the only goalie with a better GAA than Fowler and his save percentage is .945 compared to Fowler's .940 which is third. If he got the nod over Fowler, he must be very special. 7 of the Hobey top 10 are in the...

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Not a single New England site in 2028. Also North Dakota and Denver locking up host sites each for 2 of the next 3 years. That is bound to cause some havoc. Couldn't Maine put in a bid for Manchester or does UNH own exclusive rights for that?

Agree, that is also exactly as I suggested to start the thread as well.

That's right thanks for the correction. 5893 attendance in Portland about 800 more than sellouts in Orono.

Bentley played Lowell, UMass and UNH to 1 goal losses. They lost to Northeastern by 2 on a last 2-minute goal. They also beat Maine up in Orono. BC has to be prepared.

    NCAA regional matchups

While there are still conference championships to play, and the selection show isn't until Sunday at 3ET the field is set. Here is my prediction taking in attendance and avoiding intra conference: Manchester: BC vs. AHA winner, Providence vs. Denver Toledo: Michigan State vs. ECAC winner, BU vs...

However, I may add that I think the committee will address any of those concerns with a switch of Maine and UConn going to Allentown and Minnesota and Western Michigan going to Fargo for attendance reasons.

Not so fast with the Allentown trip. Penn State is hosting and they are in the 4/5 and 12/13 group. It could get messed up with a Penn State /Minnesota match up that will have to be addressed. Fargo is still in play for Maine. BC will be in Manchester and Michigan State in Toledo.

The 16 teams are already determined even before tonight's 4 championship games. Michigan is out because of Quinnipiac losing and Quinnipiac stays in. There appear to be up to 5 things to be resolved. A UConn-UMass 6-11 matchup, who gets to play Providence in BC's region (will be Denver unless...

Revised with today's results: BC will play in Manchester NH Friday March 28. Their opponent will be either the winner of Holy Cross vs. Bentley, or Michigan. Everyone else qualifying will be ahead of the AHA winner in PWR. Michigan only if there are 2 #1 B1G teams and 2 #4 B1G teams. In 2009...

BC may still get the chance to win the Beanpot this year, but it would be played in St. Louis. Imagine all 4 Boston schools making the Frozen 4. As of now they are all no more than 5 games away from it happening. BC and BU 2 games to get there as they are both in. NU 2 wins and they are in the...
