The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.

We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Another weekend of LEC hockey and the playoff picture is starting to show.
Babson gets a huge win against a USM team that got the better of them early in the season. Late night host Jimmy Fallon takes the night off to notch a hat trick as Babson controls the ice and the power play. The Beavers...
It was definitely an improvement over last week (and Friday). Didn’t make it to the Castleton game, but the only reason it went to OT was Plymouth played sloppy and Castleton seemed to get under their skin. Plymouth got called for too many men early and a major off a face mask call. Should’ve...
Another weekend of LEC hockey down with a month of conference action left.
Babson gets two wins at home to hold on to 1st (with the tie breaker against Norwich). Friday, Babson controlled the ice for a 7-2 win over West Conn, before following it up with a 3-1 win over Keene. The Beaver’s now...
Tough game but happy to force a shootout against you guys. Plymouth had it on lock early and interrupts Norwich’s system as long as it’s a good night for the team. Was also trying to figure out the points, and think it it goes as a 2pt SO W for Norwich and a 1pt tie for Plymouth. Couldn’t find...
Being at Plymouth through the MASCAC years and seeing them play this season, playing consistently tougher teams is definitely exposing their weaknesses. The last few years, Plymouth notched some big OOC wins over schools like Babson, Platty, Trine (plus a tourney win vs SUNUAC champs Cortland)...
Plymouth absolutely fell apart and needs to reassess. On paper the team has so much potential… on the ice it’s spinning the roulette wheel. I wouldn’t say Russell is the problem coaching wise - he’s had a solid record and has built the program from a struggling ECAC/NEHC team playing 30 mins...
The battle for the top tightens with a new top 3 after this weekend.
Babson comes out of the weekend back on top. Taking a short in-state roadtrip, Babson opens up with a 4-1 W vs UMD before slugging it out against UMB on Saturday. Both went back and forth with Babson getting more shots on net...
Think at this point it’s fine that Utica is ranked now. Their OOC schedule is always tough and the team has the firepower to compete. That and they’ve rebounded well… but also against weaker teams. losing 5 games that early and staying ranked was a bit absurd, even if the losses were to Adrian...
Big home stand lined up for this weekend for UMB. Two goalies to choose from, two tough opponents in USM and Babson. USM will be looking to keep the hold 1st place while Babson is looking to rebound after losing Saturday.
Been a minute again, but a lot of action in 2026 so far. Main shakeup to watch after the tournaments is that we might have a 4-way race in the conference. After starting the new year with a pair of losses to tough NESCAC opponents, USM is sitting top of the conference. Still a lot of games left...
Hartley picked up his first goal off a close range wrister last night. Already getting fit into the lines and should be a great pickup as the season goes on.
Salve almost comes out of Tampa with a major tournament upset. Beats Tufts 5-2 for a key win to advance to face Geneseo. Salve led by one with 10 minutes to play before Geneseo scored two for the comeback win. If the NPI is already updated on the site, Salve now sits in 4th nationally.
Over in Massachusetts, the lowly MASCAC wraps up the first half of the season with the new power struggle between Anna Maria and Fitchburg underway. There's not a lot besides the conference AQ bid and bragging rights to play for, but teams don't let the low conference NPI ruin the fun.
Current...
With a program at the D3 level as historic as Oswego definitely see how that would be a big loss. At the very least, it's cool the school managed to revitalize the space and keep it in use instead of tearing it all down.
Was mainly poking fun at the suggestion that low lying conferences (MASCAC, MAC, etc) should be excluded from an AQ bid. That and if a school like Curry ends up missing out on a CNE AQ and an at-large bid, they can just jump ship to the easiest conference imaginable 🤷♂️ (but seriously Curry...
Managed to make it to Northeastern's game against Brown a couple weeks back. So much history in Matthews and such a huge loss for the hockey world and city of Boston. I know the building is in need of replacing and plans for the new arena include features like the iconic archway, but still won't...
With the final games of the fall over, we have some good results to compare to the pre-season expectations for the LEC. While it's still early, there's still a clear top 3 and some movement towards the middle of the pack.
Current rankings:
1. Plymouth State (5-1-0 LEC, 7-4-0 overall)
2. Babson...
I could've worded it a bit better. Zubin summed it up well, but having a chunk of the schedule against D2 opponents (even though most of their opponents are low in the NPI) is inflating their ranking with the D2 games not counting. With the chaos they had in the offseason, I doubt they took a...
